Re: Who is the 7 seed?
Should be UNLV. FSU would be 6th at 9-11 (.45). UNLV would be 7th at 8-10 (.444).

Re: Who is the 7 seed?
Let’s go Wyoming. The game is in Laramie. Think that is very winnable for them. I also think we will have A lot on our hands today. Fresno has won 2 out of their last 3 against very good competition. We went 1 out of 3 in that stretch.

Not true. In that scenario, UNLV would be the 7 seed. http://bball.notnothing.net/mwc.php?sport=mbb

Maybe they've got their act together but that website was way off a few of the tourneys that have started already. They were great last year but I'm hesitant to bank on their stuff this year.Aggiesbleedblue wrote: ↑March 6th, 2021, 6:59 amNot true. Re: Who is the 7 seed?
As I understand it, the possibilities are:
(1) If USU loses to Fresno, we are in a rematch with Fresno in the 3/6 game.
(2) If USU beats Fresno, and UNLV beats Wyoming, we will be in a rematch with Fresno in the 2/7 game.
(3) If USU beats Fresno, and Wyoming beats UNLV, we will be playing UNLV in the 2/7 game.
This assumes of course that neither Fresno nor UNLV get upset in the opening round. But it looks like our quarterfinal opponent will be UNLV or Fresno. I don’t think there’s a scenario where we would play Wyoming other than the tourney final.
I’m pulling for the Rebs tonight, because I want nothing to do with UNLV at home in the conference tournament. Let’s let CSU deal with that.

Re: Who is the 7 seed?
We are a tough match for Fresno State either way, especially if Anderson is on the floor-- our inside game gives them problems because Queta takes out Robinson, their big gun. With Worster back we're a whole different outfit, but we can't have another start like we did against Wyoming. I don't care if Bean has enough room out there to stop, lay down a blanket and have an unguarded picnic lunch, he has to move in close and take a shot more within his range, especially when you're only shooting 22 percent from three. Come in 5-8 feet and take an easy (for him) midrange jumper.

Re: Who is the 7 seed?
Fun fact: during USU's membership in the MWC, in which the tournament has always been played at the Thomas and Mack, UNLV has never beaten a higher-seeded team.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑March 6th, 2021, 4:19 pmAs I understand it, the possibilities are:
