Somebody wanted to remember Darrell Garretson so...
I resurrected it. And it will come out again at the beginning of November.

Wow! Thank you for having that! Seriously, maybe the best video they've made. I was so bummed when I saw it was taken down from YouTube.

That brings back some crazy memories. I had almost forgotten how Nick Vigil played both sides of the ball --- what a stud.
Re: Somebody wanted to remember Darrell Garretson so...
I could watch that all day. DG was the man that night. Didn’t he even throw an incompletion? Also, the creativity to bring Vigil in at RB was awesome.
Re: Somebody wanted to remember Darrell Garretson so...
Probably my favorite Aggie video of all time. The best is at the 1:28 mark when the camera pans past some smug BYU fans that make my day. That was a great game.

This is my most favorite video to date! This Game was incredible!! I've always wondered what the two smirking Zoobs wearing the #9 Jerseys were saying as #41 walked by..

I love this video. It reminds me of that night every time. I was so nervous I was doing laundry like crazy. My family was all geared up and watching while I tried to keep myself occupied. By the end of the night, we were all jumping around and yelling in our living room. It was a special, unexpected night.

Re: Somebody wanted to remember Darrell Garretson so...
Thanks for sharing that video. It was an awesome night that I will remember for a long time! Wasn't the first play of the game for BYU a 40 yard pass before they went on to score a couple of plays later? It was a "here we go again" moment before it all shifted to the Aggies! One thing I was happy about was that I felt we were in control and on our way to winning the game before Taysom got hurt. Other than that first play he wasn't able to do much before he went down. I think that took everything out of the argument that we won only because we hurt Taysom.

It's only happened 5 times in my lifetime, 4 in my life as an Aggie, but there are very few things that bring me more joy than when the Aggies beat that school down south.

I'm bummed it was taken off YouTube. Did we not license the songs? This is hands down our best highlight video.
Re: Somebody wanted to remember Darrell Garretson so...
What's also great is that BYU was ranked #18 and all the fans were talking about how they were going to crash the BCS. After the game, just for fun, I turned on the BYU post-game on KBYU. Their analysts were all too stunned to speak. It was glorious!

We were 21 point dogs going in, and I had a coworker zoob guarantee they would cover. Longest week of my life leading up to this game listening to all the crap. Following Monday was awesome!
I just rewatched the entire game to relive it a couple days ago!

I loved that ESPN had the playoff trophy brought in for the game since all the talk was about BYU possibly making the playoff.

Did you point out all the Aggie highlights and how we destroyed the BCS Busting Boogers with this Guy while other co workers were around or were you a gracious winner?Aggiefan160 wrote: ↑August 15th, 2019, 12:05 pmWe were 21 point dogs going in, and I had a coworker zoob guarantee they would cover. Too bad he didn't play like that all season. It was a great game, I loved the atmosphere and to see the wind knocked out of their sails!

Re: Somebody wanted to remember Darrell Garretson so...

I remember the nation championship trophy on display before the game. Announcements over the PA that USU hasn’t beat BYU in 36 years in Provo. Everyone: media, announcers, co-workers and even fans walking into the stadium near me, crowning BYU before the game. I was having a flash back to the 2011 game and thinking how insufferable it was walking out of the same stadium. Sitting in the Stadium and watching Wiley roll that wheel out was such a great time.

By the way, was this the game where our noble site admins rented electronic billboard space afterwards in Utah County just to rub it in for all the Coug fans leaving? Another epic element of this story.

I mentioned a few times, but with Taysom’s injury and the latest quest for perfection ruined, a couple of them were on suicide watch.Machismo wrote: ↑August 15th, 2019, 12:58 pmAggiefan160 wrote: ↑August 15th, 2019, 12:05 pmWe were 21 point dogs going in, and I had a coworker zoob guarantee they would cover. Do any of you know how to find archived post-game shows of BYU games on KSL radio? I can't find any and have always wanted to listen to the post game shows after those games. Any ideas?

I took this right after the game inside LES. It was “rescued” moments later by an indignant yBu fan.

That was the night they were honoring Jim McMahon. And inducting him in their ring of honor, or what ever the Spewgars call it....good times....!!!

^^^^^^^^^^
Interestingly enough, the last time we had beat BYU in Provo was when Jim McMahon was the QB. They should invite him back more often when we play them.

True. But at the time the last time, we had beaten them, McMahon was their QB.

And the year before.
You keep using that word. I do not think that word means what you think it means.
