I hope the best for him... concussions are rough. Hoping an organization will overlook it and see his talent but one of the biggest reasons that front offices voted to have him there is likely to have him get the front to back check out when it comes to medicals.

What about our fantastic kicker Dominik Eberle? No kickers to the combine then?

I dont know if this will be all over Twitter, but one thing that was all over all news - the fact that BYU beat USU handily last fall.

No point in bringing a kicker to the combine

Are you kidding!
I'd love to see kickers run the 40 and do the bench press rep test!

The top kickers and punters do get invited to the combine so they can meet with teams, get medical evals, and showcase their ability a little. They don’t necessarily participate in the same events as the other guys.

I think Eberle is just outside that top echelon of kickers. And by top echelon, I mean like 3 kickers.

Only 1 or 2 kickers get drafted per year. He’ll get a chance somewhere in a camp, but the odds are against him.

I agree that a very small number of kickers are “present” (smallest group by far) but they rarely participate in anything other than meetings and medical as you mentioned. The combine is ran by front office consideration. Players get invites based off the votes they receive from each front office. Rarely does a front office want to bring in a kicker to the combine when they can see what they need to at pro days, unless you’re the Bucs and draft a kicker in very early rounds only to cut him a couple years later....

Pat McAfee and Brian Moorman could lay down a hit. IDK about combines, but they were very physical. Unfortunately for Moorman he will always be remembered by the late great Sean Taylor wrecking him.

Just in case anyone else is interested here is the NFL.combine grade and write up for Love:

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jordan-lo ... 231b05c522

It doesn't look like they have grades or write ups about Tipa or Woody yet.

Thanks for the link.

Interesting note from the list of QBs:

*Love is the fourth highest grade (Burrow, Tua, and Herbert are the only ones that graded higher)
*Love's grade projects as a starter within 2 years
"They compare Love to Blake Bortles
*A lot of the "cons" on his analysis have been brought up here: Stares down his targets, has trouble handling errant snaps, slow reads leading to interceptions, consistency.
*They say he relied too much on receivers to make plays on 50/50 passes
*Only completed 31% of deep balls in college (compared to Burrow who was well over 60%).

Sounds about right. The comparison to Bortles isn't necessarily a positive.

But...now it is in his hands to make his mark.

Looks like they updated Tipa’s grade. He’s at 5.86 which they say is a backup or special team player. A lot of complaints about his size.

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/tipa-gale ... 11b9b5e915

Woody’s was updated as well at 5.60 (change to make roster or practice squad).
