WTHCG - Two undefeated teams in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference face off this weekend in Pella, IA - home of Pella Windows and Doors about 40 miles outside of Des Moines. After opening the season with a 70-53 win against Bethel Royals the University of Dubuque Spartans. have continued last years resurgence with wins over the Pacific Boxers, Simspon Storm, and Luther Norse. In 2015, the Spartans won the IIAC for the 8th time in their history and went through conference play undefeated in a season bookended by losses to perienial D3 powerhouse St John's Johnnies. This week the Spartans are back on the road to play at the Central College Dutch. Pella is on of a few towns in Iowa with lots of Dutch influence. Pella Historical Society holds Tulip Time the first weekend in May. The Dutch are averaging 42.5 points per game after wins at Whitworth Pirates, Augustana Vikings, home vs Buena Vista Beavers, and at Loras Duhawks last weekend. In this week's D3football.com Top 25 poll, the Dutch are #24 and the Spartans received 7 votes
