Re: Signing party
I'd love to, but a 6 PM start on a weekday is out of the question unfortunately. I really wish they'd have a similar event in SLC, I'd bet there are a fair amount of us outside Cache Valley who would want to and be able to attend it. I know I would.

Re: Signing party
Tough to make consecutive trips up with the basketball game the day before, but if I can swing it I'll be there. GREAT event if you've never been.

I know they did this one year and it was great and well attended. I wish they would do it again.
Re: Signing party
Sounds like Chad Artist will have a signing party the day before this coaches party and before the Boise State game. This will be at Blue Square student lounge from 6-7pm, February 3rd. The lounge has big screens and next door is Bulls Head Grill and Sports Bar. Check it out before the Boise State - USU basketball game.
Blue Square is located cross the street West of the Football Stadium.

Last year they put it online afterwards at least and I was able to watch that.

Re: Signing party
I really hope they plan on doing one of these in the Wasatch Front going forward. I was hoping to get up there next week but have a work conflict. For those going enjoy and please give a detailed report.

Re: Signing party
I asked about this recently. I don't think we'll see another one down on the front in the near future. The last one GA did (I think it was the second time they did it) it was somewhat sparsely attended. I think it would be better attended now with several winning season under our belt. The other part of it was the coaches. They've been working round the clock since camp started in August. Typically after signing day, they are able to get out of town for a bit apparently, which is a somewhat rare opportunity for them. Another event a week later makes that tough.brian5562 wrote:I really hope they plan on doing one of these in the Wasatch Front going forward. Anyhow, that is what I was told. It does cannibalize the one in Logan as well. I know several people (including myself) who have gone up to Logan for the event before.
Bottom line is we need to get a fantastic write up on the board form somebody who is able to attend.

Re: Signing party
I think we wasatch aggies should push for this. The one GA did was well attended I was there and was surprised at the turnout. I think now you would see even more. I think there is enough interest to warrant it. I do agree that it puts a burden on the coaches, but I still think they could make it work.

GA did two. The second and last one was poorly attended. I was there.brian5562 wrote:I think we wasatch aggies should push for this. I would love to see it happen as well, but I don't think it will.

Re: Signing party
Did anyone who purchased tickets get anything in their e-mail? I thought the person I talked to said I should receive a confirmation, but I never did. My card was charged though...

Re: Signing party
I didn't know there was a second gathering involved GA. The first one was wall to wall people with all sorts of energy. The second one many have been casually attended due to poor promotion by the school (hardly breaking news here). Living in Sandy I do enjoy. value and support local AGGIE events.GeoAg wrote:GA did two. The second and last one was poorly attended.
