I think she is wrong. They will grayshirt. I think she meant unlikely to see them in an Aggie uniform in the coming year. Writing isn't really her strong point. Case in point when she says Woo is an OL. No attention to detail.swishh_15 wrote:Lya has tweeted out that because of academics its unlikely we will ever see Cronk and Woo in aggie uniforms.

Decoud to Oregon State. Not worried about this unless we don't see that LOI from Bailey come in.

So besides the few transfers: Andersen, Faifili, and Leavitt and the returning missionaries: Andersen, Harris, Raymond, Swenson, and Wildman it appears we are down to only Bailey? This assumes that the reports on Woo and Cronk are correct.

Re: National Signing Day 2015
In reading through the various posts it looks like we have 6 3* signs and potentially 2 more in the two "academic casualties". Compare to previous years how does this look?

It seems like this is the most. Before we only got 2 or 3 of the 3 star variety. Great class!ChicagoAggie wrote:In reading through the various posts it looks like we have 6 3* signs and potentially 2 more in the two "academic casualties". Compare to previous years how does this look?

Leavitt, Faifili, and Chasen are all on campus. They have already signed.

We will have Hall, Hunt, Hervey, Williams, and Lindsay returning and now add Mays as the big back option.
Between Hunt, Hervey and Mays there may not be a lot of touches left.

Re: National Signing Day 2015
So what about the group that has returned. Have they signed an LOI yet? I haven't seen any official announcement about those guys signing in this group. Are we sure they are all solid commits for next year?ag4fr wrote:I don't believe that Sign and Send Missionaries sign an LOI before they leave.
I believe that they sign a grant in aid agreement with the University as a sort of 2 way agreement that they will sign an LOI and enroll and the school will put them on an athletic scholarship when they return.

Yes, but with the possible exception of Mays, do we have (and I'm not trying to be critical, just asking because based on what I saw the past couple of years I have to ask) do we have a back with the same combination of size, speed and power as, for example, Booker at Utah?Aglicious wrote:Yep. That's a pretty high bar... Can I take it then that the answer to my question is, "No". So I pose another question; Are we at least trying?

According to UtesAggs the U would have gone after Mays if Booker had declared for the draft. For what that's worth.72AgGrad wrote:aceofspadeskb wrote:That's a pretty high bar... So are these 3* Oceanside guys going to get their grades up and sign? How does that all work? Will we end up seeing them here or will they go the JC route?

Seems like these situations often turn out that way. Hopefully these are the exceptions, though.NVAggie wrote:Sounds like they will never wear Aggie blue.

Re: National Signing Day 2015
That is encouraging. Also, I must add, that my question "Are we at least trying?" was actually pretty stupid. Of course I'm sure we would like to get a running back like Booker, and of course I'm sure there just are not that many with his combination of size speed and power out there. I hope Mays turns out to be at least close to that kind of back for us.3rdGenAggie wrote:According to UtesAggs the U would have gone after Mays if Booker had declared for the draft.
