Alan Bishop Strength Coach
Alan Bishop Strength Coach
Has anyone seen Alan Bishop's twitter page. He has been posting the body transformations of the football players. Some were amazing. Don't know how to share the tweets here or I would.

They appeared on the front page of this site (News), within the twitter feed. You can scroll back on the feed and see them all.GUS wrote:Has anyone seen Alan Bishop's twitter page. Had to laugh at some BYU fan's insecure comment on Leavitt's page. He's doing better here and it clearly bothers them.

I don't know how much he makes, but Alan needs a raise.

No kidding. Not to mention that the before pics seem to have been compressed while the after have been stretchedWAAggie wrote:Great to see the improvement, but the pics are worse than any Jenny Craig Before/After pics.

We are lucky to have Coach Bishop at USU. I think he will be an NFL strength coach someday.

Re: Alan Bishop Strength Coach
Now can they use their new body without injuring it? That is the hard part about putting on the bulk.

Re: Alan Bishop Strength Coach
The strength program focuses heavily on flexibility as well. The coaches assess all players for flexibility, range of motion, etc. and incorporate those needs into the regimen. It is the first assessment the strength coaches perform on the athletes, as it creates the initial focus on the training.

I could be completely wrong. I haven't looked at numbers. But it seems like we have had a decent increase in injuries since the strength and conditioning center was completed.
We've also had a lot more wins.

Re: Alan Bishop Strength Coach
Last year we had a great reduction in injuries. 2013 and 2014 were pretty bad for season-ending joint related injuries. Last year I don't think we had a significant contributor go down with an: ACL, Achilles, labrum for the whole season like in years passed.aceofspadeskb wrote:I could be completely wrong. It very well could be a misguided perception of mine.Madmartigan wrote:Last year we had a great reduction in injuries. 2013 and 2014 were pretty bad for season-ending joint related injuries. Re: Alan Bishop Strength Coach
Last year was very good for injury reduction. I think it takes awhile for the athletes bodies to adjust to all the ART they were doing in the program. I think we'll see years like last year going forward.aceofspadeskb wrote:It very well could be a misguided perception of mine.Madmartigan wrote:Last year we had a great reduction in injuries. 2013 and 2014 were pretty bad for season-ending joint related injuries.
