Re: We got screwed!!!!

If we really think we’re a 5 or a 6 then we should beat a 9 with some comfort. Not sure one can have it both ways, although it is on brand for many of this team’s fans. The incessant whining here is the clear mating call of the loser… half y’all call and the other half comes runnin year after year!

Re: YBA's Christmas Wishlist: Isaiah Neyor

If I remember correctly, we had a decent relationship and shot with Neyor the last time he was in the portal before the big schools started sniffing around. He's on scratch-and-dent pricing now, and I think he'd be a great target for us to essentially replace Vaughn if he's healthy. His last year a...

Re: NIL and Jersey Sales

Pretty sure you aren't allowed to mix school and player when it comes to NIL. So you could either have a player name and number on a non-school jersey, or a generic jersey number with no player name on a school jersey. If a player wants to just go out and strike a deal then it's true that they can'...

so the big 12 and ybu are finally going to admit that no one in the PAC wants to joint their new AAC++ conference? About time. The speculation in this thread and the new reports is that Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Arizona State will go to the Big 12. So that would leave Cal, Oregon State, Washingto...

Looks like Or and UW are headed to Big10 as vetting process is starting to leak. Not a surprise given their revenue generation and brand potential. The Big 12 will take Colorado, UU, and Az schools and call it a day. The Big 12 tv deal with fox allows up to 16 schools. Any other additions will requi...

Re: Time to Focus on Basketball as #1?

This is something that's been on my mind lately. We all know Division 1 football is getting crazy. The gap is only widening between the P5 conferences and those not in it. The revenue gap is getting bigger and the NIL is only creating a bigger chasm. The arms race to keep up with facilities is nuts...

Re: Groundhog day, deja vu

If we want to break the curse, we need to avoid Q4 losses in the regular season and secure a 5-6 seed in the tournament. I’m convinced that’s the only way That would certainly help. We’ve had a lot of very confident folks who argued over the last 2 weeks that we are a top 20 team. It amazes me that...

Better call in a favor to your P5 contacts. Just because Stew said it doesn't make it true. If we are happy to play on the road without return games there are a lot of teams that will play us. See schedules of some of our MWC mates. I do believe that it is hard to get home and homes with these teams.

Couple of guards who shoot it well from outside. Not a lot of athletic size which bodes well for us. I like the matchup for the Aggies. SDSU game gives so much material for Odom. Confidence should come out of shooting that poorly and still being in it.

NW is top of my list. They’re about 170 in OPP 3 %. FAU is much better and St. Mary’s is average. NW gets most points out of their guards but none are elite shooters.

The Net is clearly data driven and we have a better Net than BSU. Which part of the Net calculation would you tweak if you think BSU is better than us? Once again, I am a broken record, but the NET is supposed to be just a rough measure of the relative strength of teams. #1 is probably better than ...

Dutcher's plan was to wear us down. He even said it at the first media interview timeout they had. He knew he had a deeper team and we were running fast in our two late night games. Yep, they need to start these quarterfinal games a hour and a half or two hours earlier. The two and three seed gets a really bad schedule.
