Re: Unlimited Transfers is Official

This may become a 2 way street though with coaches not renewing scholarships for kids that are not performing.
And NIL deals may start to include performance thresholds and incentives based on playing time.

Admittedly right now it is wild without any oversight.

Re: Ryland Jessee to Michigan State, I guess

He was taking secret visits. I really hope he had the balls to give Blake and Company a heads up. He clearly didn’t have the balls to tell 22. I dont necessarily blame him for accepting a Big 10 offer. (That’s a terrible situation for him) but at least have the stones to tel the coaches who are inv...

Re: Well, this doesn’t sound good…

This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I think this is fantastic. I hate losing Ike (or Ashworth or any other good player); don't get me wrong. But for years coaches, administrators, and universities earned enormous amounts of money on the backs of college athletes, who got essentially nothi...

The real question, do we even care?
We need to care, the extra practice time make an impact on the development of younger players and the evaluation of those players from the coaches.

Not getting this extra time is bad for a program like ours. One that needs all the extra time to improve.

Yea who'd recruit this kid knowing that he's likely going to quit on the team at some point? What's his excuse going to be if he does get some bites? He'll be lucky to end up at Idaho State when all is said and done. Looks like someone already has and he will just do fine, at least that is what he ...

I think it was actually a good thing for Legas to get benched. He’s looked a lot less timid to me since he came back.
I agree with this assessment.
This is not saying that I agree/disagree with the Hilstead decision but it is hard to argue that Legas has been playing well since being benched.

I’m guessing Mike Williams. I was hoping it would have been WBB coach.
Doesn't make sense. Generally you would not get rid of someone with an excellent track record in Sports Wellness that is also highly respected in industry.

I am assuming most of the changes will be around fundraising.

I found it interesting that the announcers on the MWC stream where talking about our 1st Q struggles are being related to the OL underperformance but their conditioning is wearing down the teams to allow them to be better late in games. I think our tempo hurts us in the beginning and wonder if it wo...

It is important to remember that Hillstead on top of not being experienced has also not been getting 1st team reps in camp and beginning of the season. There should be much more upside here week over week with the reps and game experience, but there is also a big burden on BA to make sure that both ...

And it really doesn't matter what you call the new conference, although I think the PAC name has more value. What matters to Oregon State and Wazzu is how they can hold on to their revenues. scheduling is easy. The MWC teams will bend over backwards to schedule them. But what if the MWC and all oth...

That is most likely the r...

Frank was never a great coach, and now that he’s gone he’s just targeting all our guys. He flat out sucked everywhere he coached, Defense, tight ends, didn’t matter he wasn’t good. That’s why he didn’t get a head job here. His only argument to why he should’ve got the job was because he’s Polynesia...

He was a hit or miss player. A big play or a big whiff. At this point, who cares? He doesn't want to be here for whatever reason. Frank Maile. Burning the program down from the inside and outside. He hasn't been here for a couple years now, he should not be a scape goat for anything happening at USU at this point. We have 11 assistants now (7 on d, 4 on 0). Someone needs to go unless they’ve changed rules recently.
Devine is no longer considered one of the 10 assistants.
Does that mean he will be in an off the field role or leave the program? (or is not clear yet what it will mean?)

If NIL was the driving factor you would assume that the distribution of players leaving would be more even. The DL attrition is statistically of the charts and I doubt it is strictly a money issue.
