Comparing last year's schedule to this year's
TL; DR: Up and down the schedule, I see someone we played in 2023 and think we could improve enough to beat that opponent, but not enough to beat the team on the 2024 schedule. So we could very well have an improved team but a similar record. A breakdown First, OOC 1. Robert Morris VS. Idaho State. ...

Everyone with a certain last name would argue with you about that. Some people can figure out which last name I'm referring to.

Re: Jacob Conover
My biggest question about this commitment is whether his wife still has eligibility left to play on the soccer team? A bit of internet soothing says she should still have her COVID year left. Redshirted 2019, played 2020, 2021, and 2022 at BYU. Then she played at Florida for 2023. I would imagine t...

Question about strength coaches
I have a question about who the strength and conditioning coaches report to and who makes the decision on who to select and the ability to terminate them. I know the head strength coach reports to the football head coach, and that it's the football head coach that chooses the head strength coach and...

What would be funny is if someone with photoshop skills could photoshop a picture of Abu or JohnDale on the sideline at a Utah football game, in what their stadium would have looked like back then.

One thing that's funny to think about is if NIL and TP existed when Abu Wilson played, or I should say, after the first year he played and saw significant time here, causing us to sweat out if he would be back each following year, how we would have gone about learning if he was staying or leaving w...

Re: Jacob Conover
When you have your starter, pickings for someone to come be an insurance policy are going to be slim. You are going to have more options for who you can get when you are in the market for a starter.

Re: Question for those out of state
In Pullman I think Washington State, byu and Utah State were tied(relatively a lot of Aggies in Pullman). I'm DC, people talked byu, but Utah State was actually pretty well represented. Nobody cared about the local teams, every once in a while someone would talk about Navy because of Ken N. In Detr...

Re: Question for those out of state
We get a smattering of BYU talk, but it’s easily drowned out by the Bama talk here in Tuscaloosa. Thought I would ask you this question. In the years you have lived in Tuscaloosa, have you seen alot of fans of Alabama's opponents visiting at church the day after the game, rather it's their SEC oppo...

Question for those out of state
I have a question for those of you that are out of state. During the football season, when you are at church on Sunday, is the team you regularly overhear other people you go to church with chatting about: 1. BYU? 2. the somewhat local team that is in the state and more popular than the team right i...

A better way to look at losing Switzer
Rather than looking at it as just that we lost Switzer, look at it as we pretty much traded him for 3 New Mexico State guys, first Gabe Iniguez and Jordan Vincent, and now the latest commit in Seldon. And those three probably won't be the only three guys that are here cause of Dreiling. Think of how...

What was different with Royals in 2022?
How did we not even see any potential from Jalen Royals in 2022, before he exploded in 2023? Did he just need the confidence from catching ONE pass in a game before it would be easier to catch others? Did he just not have as good of a work ethic in 2022 as he did in 2023? When he did get in a few ti...

A ghosts of the past forum
We should have a forum for talking about ghosts of the past, former players and coaches at different schools in both sports. There is a mix of people who consider them dead when they leave, and people who are interested in seeing how they do. We will for instance next year have three schools with he...

Re: Ouch - Wyoming losing Lindner
We lost Larry E. even later than this, forcing us to get Stew. But that was also in the old era where kids couldn't leave. Stew has said straight up that he couldn't coach in today's era where you have to re-recruit your roster all over again every year.

Re: A video of worst college football coaching mistakes
Also, in the game against CSU in 2011, the rams punted with less a minute to play. There’s no reason on earth we should have had a punt returner even in the game, as the only way CSU gets the ball back is if the returner drops the ball. He did. CSU recovers, scores a td, and we lose in triple OT. S...

A video of worst college football coaching mistakes
There's a youtube clip of worst college football coaching mistakes. Surprisingly, nothing Blake, Gary (in either stint), or Wells did made the cut. Nothing from Blake's Arkansas State tenure made the cut either. And a few are from Division 2 games, so the fact that we aren't a big time school doesn'...

It's possible that we offered to schedule a game in a player's home state to get him to commit, but are waiting on him cause him committing is the only way we are scheduling the game.

Sorry, this has probably been mentioned ten times elsewhere, but does he have one or two years remaining? TU is a mid-tier AAC program and has had so-so QB play for years. Re: Hillstead Transferring
Scotty G predicted he would be the starter by the end of the year. That wouldn't surprise me. He’ll probably be the starter at the beginning of the year. I've been advised by some reportedly in the know, that Hillstead has a high Football I Q and throws a very catchable pass that receivers loved. T...

Re: Legas…gone
