I give points for crowd creativity, and there was a lot at that game....except the "Leon Sucks," chant. There is nothing creative about that, and, frankly, it's dumb. Everything else was awesome.

I will concede that if we are winning more, we might not be on KJZZ, but that's no excuse for the poor broadcast. Aggie Formerly In Hawaii makes the best point. Those games are not getting on a national platform anyway. However, I think the CSU game may be on KJZZ, but that's not because we didn't w...

Win consistently and in big games and all the complaints like this will hold weight. Otherwise, "no one" cares. This is NOT a great take. So, what you are saying is that only winning programs, ones that win consistently and in big games, can demand and expect professionalism and competence from tho...

Would it be plausible/doable to have the members vote now to extend the buyout fees several years, or even indefinitely until otherwise changed by a supermajority of the members?

Re: Gloria getting her audience with OSU / WSU
There are two basic ways to conduct a merger - an asset transfer or wholesale merger. In an asset transfer, the buyer picks and choses which assets and liabilities to acquire. You generally leave most of the debt and unwanted liabilities behind with the seller. In a wholesale merger, the buyer gets...

It's obvious just looking at SDSU that they are bigger, stronger and more athletic. So is BS and Nevada, by the way. Recruiting to San Diego may be a bit different than Logan. We've seen what it takes to win championships in this league: talented, hard nosed players, a good coach, and, oh yeah....tw...

Re: Tucker needs to be shown the door.
Tucker isn't horrible and does not need to go, but he's not a world beater, either. He had a lot of talent last year, and that allowed him some leeway and covered up some marginal situational play calling. This year, the playbook or timing of the calls do not seem well adjusted to the talent. Last y...

Re: We as fans CAN have it both ways with Bonner
I think most of the team is not the same as it was. Everyone looks to the QB, but if receivers are not up to the same level, the OL is soft and running backs miss blocks, the entire system falls short from the one we had last year.

Is it also possible Bonner is hurt, he does not have the same level and number of receivers he had last year and the OL just is not what it was or should be. Seems possible that the coaches know this, and perhaps more, and are trying to get the run game going? Maybe not. I get frustrated with the ru...

Re: Chilling thread on Arkansas State forum: “Blake ball settling in”
That thread mentions someone works with a former player who says his seat is hotter than we think it is. My brother knows a few guys in Brigham City. One of them has a sister who works with a lady who has a son at USU. A sophomore, I think. Anyway, this lady's son told his mom that his roommate was...

It was a really, very horrible loss. No doubt about it. It was likely one of the worst in our history, at least as I know it. Booing sometimes just happens as a natural response in the heat of the moment, but for some of us, booing our team is off the table. It doesn't make us right or better, it's ...

Re: Logan Bonner interview today with Hans & Scotty
Coach was asked after a horrible loss. Emotions were high and he was protecting his players. Bonner has had a couple of days to think about it and be "advised" on how to handle the interview, which he did very well. Two different things.

Why does anyone from USU have to apologize? Fans believe they can do what they want because they pay for the ticket. Why can't the coach respond to it the way he wants to respond? Booing was dumb, but understandable. Booing Bonner was bush-league and unforgivable. Booing a college kid for playing po...

Backoff the students. The students who attended the SDSU game brought it. They were on fire and did a great job representing the Spectrum. Certainly more could have attended, but the basketball culture has been off the past 5 years. You don't get it back in one season. Attendance at college basketba...

Hill after WSU’s playoff loss last night: "We are building. This is two straight 10-plus win seasons and we have been to the quarterfinals twice and battled like crazy against two really good teams. The future is very bright," Hill said postgame. "There isn't much separating us from them, we just ne...

Today, a WSU fan came into my office pleading for us (USU) not to take Hill. Asked him why, although I already knew about his ability to win games. For those players waiting to see who is hired, it would be interesting to talk to them privately to find out what they are looking for, or the opposite--what they don't want in a coach, that could send them to another school. I imagine each one has his unique concerns. Also, it's my understanding th...

Given the circumstances of USU, what qualities does the new coach need to have to be successful at USU? IMHO, we start with ability to find player talent in unique places and recruiting talent. Coaching is important, but talent will carry the day every time. This is important for any program, but w...

Re: "What do we want?" Not "who do we want."
Its not about what you want. Its about who you can get. The Aggies can hire a number of guys with a resume to suggest they can take this team to enough wins to make us relatively happy and ensure themselves a big payday on about December 1, 2020. Whether they have great long term program building c...

Nobody said not to worry about it, just that X's and O's for the HC may not be as important as they are for the coordinators calling the plays.

Maybe Hill is not the answer, but we aren't going to get a lateral hire. If the is a great HC as comparable school in the FBS, why would he come to USU? If a coach is fired, the new coach has his pick of the current assistants. If he leaves, he takes the best assistants with him, unless they can get enough of a title and/or money promotion at USU with the new coach. I don't understand all this discussion about "deserving" to win. Would CSU have "deserved" the win had it won by breaking a rule? Touchdowns get called back every Saturday all over the country for different rules violations. The fact that it happened with no time on the clock is irrelevant. Now, if ...

Everything came together this year. Good coaching. Consistent coaching. Great, experienced players. A great system. Sustaining this at any level is very difficult, if not impossible. It's only being done at a handful of places. I think USU has more patience for down years when it can see that better...
