Re: Endless Line-up Potential
Anderson and Johnson at the same time will be a nightmare for opposing front courts on offense. Both are good three point shooters and really tall. That is a nice thing. But on defense, both will be knocked aside like toothpicks against players built like Great, LeDee, or Roddy. I hope Templin and ...

Re: Akanno commits!
I got a feeling someone or some people are going to redshirt next year. There just isn’t enough minutes for this kind of talent. Either that or Anderson is going to play some 4. Essentially none of the guards or wings can or will redshirt though. Maybe Housley? But I agree, Anderson will likely nee...

Proof Calhoun is a god. 24 hours for him is like 120 hours for us humans.

Re: Calhoun interview with Scotty today
So no commit in 24 hours after the interview and no MTE announced. I’m not feeling too confident about the natty Calhoun promised in light of his track record this week. Likely waiting on Uduje to make a final decision Id guess Why would Akanno agree to that? This is feeling like the Welling situat...

We prioritized giving each new assistant coach their day in the sun. Odd choice.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑May 17th, 2024, 3:59 pmSo no commit in 24 hours after the interview and no MTE announced.

Re: Secret Meeting??
I liked how Danny brought back so many Aggie greats to meet with the team last year. I think this will become less of a thing as players only stop in for a year or two to play. They won't develop a strong connection with the school or program in that short of a time period. The nostalgia for fans j...

Re: Calhoun replacing strength/conditioning coach with his brother?
Jimmy Stitz has ties to Minnesota. He went to Minnesota State and was born and raised in the area. My understanding is that going back to Minnesota has always been in the cards. I will call it now, Calhoun's brother will NOT be the next strength and conditioning coach. This is a hire that Sabau wil...

Re: Calhoun interview with Scotty today
Eric Haut will work with the defense. Sounds like he will install a matchup zone for the defense. Be interesting to see how that goes. This could explain why he doesn’t appear to be worried about the lack of bigs. Matchup zone will help reduce the fouls and mismatches in speed or size. Also he ment...

Re: Remaining Scholarships
We have 4 bigs. 3 have proven they are prone to foul and the other is a freshman. Here is my take on it from looking into what Calhoun said. There is another forward that Calhoun likes coming out of HS. We are going to have Aubin to put on some weight. Templin was a young true freshman last year, s...

Re: Remaining Scholarships
In hindsight it would’ve been well worth blowing a scholie on Jayden Welling to be able to land Carter Welling. He would’ve been an excellent backup at the 5 and would’ve pushed for starter minutes by year end. Instead we’ll get a raw freshman SF and a bpa big no one wants. We’re going to be super t...

Re: Remaining Scholarships
We need a starting 4 and Akanno/Uduje I think Fish starts at the 4. Fish is our stretch 4 and I also expect him to start. Me too. Fish needs to hit the weight room this summer. Maybe Anderson is too good to come off the bench and Calhoun goes with a big lineup with Ian at the 2, Anderson at 3, Fish...

Makes SUUs gambit to join the WAC continue to be a poor decision. Should have stayed in the Big Sky… SUU, Utah Valley, and Utah Tech should move into the Big Sky. The Big Sky would have Weber State, Utah Valley, SUU, and Utah Tech. Side note, did I see the Big Sky conference offices along the freew...

Seems like post Gloria Nevarez the WCC is getting stuff done. kind of Alarming that the MWC isn’t doing anything. We lose SDSU were in trouble. Short of getting WSU/OSU officially in the conference what moves are there to make? No other teams really add value to the MWC, and would be one more team ...

Grand Canyon is long overdue. Seattle U on the other hand? Are they a religious school or is that no longer a requirement?
