Re: Secret Meeting??
I liked how Danny brought back so many Aggie greats to meet with the team last year. I think this will become less of a thing as players only stop in for a year or two to play. They won't develop a strong connection with the school or program in that short of a time period. The nostalgia for fans j...

Re: Calhoun replacing strength/conditioning coach with his brother?
Jimmy Stitz has ties to Minnesota. He went to Minnesota State and was born and raised in the area. My understanding is that going back to Minnesota has always been in the cards. I will call it now, Calhoun's brother will NOT be the next strength and conditioning coach. This is a hire that Sabau wil...

Re: Calhoun interview with Scotty today
Eric Haut will work with the defense. Sounds like he will install a matchup zone for the defense. Be interesting to see how that goes. This could explain why he doesn’t appear to be worried about the lack of bigs. Matchup zone will help reduce the fouls and mismatches in speed or size. Also he ment...

Re: Remaining Scholarships
We have 4 bigs. 3 have proven they are prone to foul and the other is a freshman. Here is my take on it from looking into what Calhoun said. There is another forward that Calhoun likes coming out of HS. We are going to have Aubin to put on some weight. Templin was a young true freshman last year, s...

Re: Remaining Scholarships
In hindsight it would’ve been well worth blowing a scholie on Jayden Welling to be able to land Carter Welling. He would’ve been an excellent backup at the 5 and would’ve pushed for starter minutes by year end. Instead we’ll get a raw freshman SF and a bpa big no one wants. We’re going to be super t...

Re: Remaining Scholarships
We need a starting 4 and Akanno/Uduje I think Fish starts at the 4. Fish is our stretch 4 and I also expect him to start. Me too. Fish needs to hit the weight room this summer. Maybe Anderson is too good to come off the bench and Calhoun goes with a big lineup with Ian at the 2, Anderson at 3, Fish...

Re: NAR: Seattle and Grand Canyon are part of the WCC
Makes SUUs gambit to join the WAC continue to be a poor decision. Should have stayed in the Big Sky… SUU, Utah Valley, and Utah Tech should move into the Big Sky. The Big Sky would have Weber State, Utah Valley, SUU, and Utah Tech. Side note, did I see the Big Sky conference offices along the freew...

Re: NAR: Seattle and Grand Canyon are part of the WCC
Seems like post Gloria Nevarez the WCC is getting stuff done. kind of Alarming that the MWC isn’t doing anything. We lose SDSU were in trouble. Short of getting WSU/OSU officially in the conference what moves are there to make? No other teams really add value to the MWC, and would be one more team ...

Re: Isaac Davis to USU?
Does this mean that Great Osobor will not be coming back? Are we at 13 players? Signing Davis will have no affect on if Great decides to come back. Davis will not be taking minutes away from Great next season. Great would be the main focal point of the offense if (big if) he returns. I think Davis ...

Re: Chris Murray Thoughts
I'm not sure why I would give much credence to a writer who ranked USU as the seventh best team in the conference heading into the MW tournament last year. Maybe he foresaw the OT vs FSU and crapping the bed vs SDSU. Awesome year but the MWC tourney was a low point. Yeah, hate to say it, but we wer...

He looks like a great player. Not sure why he'd come to such a loaded roster though. I bet he goes with UNLV. UNLV can pay him a LOT more. Dexter Akanno may have the same mindset as Taylor Funk. Akanno's 4 seasons 13-14 Marquette 3-28 Oregon State 11-21 Oregon State 13-19 Oregon State 0 conference ...
