Re: Calhoun replacing strength/conditioning coach with his brother?
Like Michael Scott said, mixing family and business is a beautiful thing. https://i.postimg.cc/c65jHnk3/the-office-spanking.gif Jared and Nick in the Locker room after a loss where aggies were out physical'd I sense a mobster theme with Calhoun hiring his consigliere on staff as well. Maybe the two had an arm wrestling match, and the winner got the job.

Re: NAR: Seattle and Grand Canyon are part of the WCC
GCU just wants more bodies who can take out student loans to write them checks. Learning is completely irrelevant. So they invest massive amounts of money in athletics hoping to raise their school's visibility and cause more prospective students to take out loans and write checks. ... it is hard to...

Obi and Jadyn are brothers in at least one sense of the word, but I'm guessing some people mistook JT for Obi's younger brother Jacob who plays for the Knicks.

Connor Odom received USBWA Most Courageous Award at USU
Not sure this was discussed here last year, but good for Connor! I wasn't aware of the challenges he was facing, and it's great for an Aggie player to be an advocate for mental health awareness. https://www.sportswriters.net/usbwa/news/2023/02/28/hargrove-odom-to-receive-perry-wallace-most-courageou...

He’s our Starting 3. It depends who comes back, (Great) but: This probably pushes Uduje to the bench. I imagine Falslev Martinez, Anderson, Great, and Fish are the starters. If great doesn’t come back I imagine Gaterese at the 5 with fish at the 4. Is Mason making a move to Point guard this year? I...

Re: Do we want any BYU Players?
We don't. We need to set our expectations higher. We can't sign a PG from Queens and then say we are too good for any players on a team that was top 20 most of the year and a higher seed than we have ever been. Re: Pope to Kentucky
There is zero chance they can afford Madsen's buyout. Maybe had he not signed an extension after the season, but no way they can do it now. Scotty suggested Barrett Peery. If I were to guess, I'd guess he's the guy. Seems like the best of all the options I've heard. I think there are well over a bi...

Re: "College Super League"
The concept of promotion/relegation might work well for non-P4 College Football. As would the idea of a real CFP12 or CFP16 tournament. I just never see the P4 ceding much control. Instead, what we will get is a carefully over-lorded and curated FBS College Football Playoff structure designed the P...

I think I read that there actually needs to be a real quid pro quo or "job" outside of playing ball. Like being in commercials or other "real work." It can't just be getting money to be on the team - you know, like those freeloader AMERICAN kids. ;) The gray area comes in on how that work is defined...

Re: A National Championship
Saying that we could win a national championship if the guys run it back is a pretty slimy public statement to make. It amounts to just coach speak to parry an inevitable inability to live up to the previous years success. Players transfer as we would expect and we only win 20 games next season? See...

Loved the LSU/Iowa rematch. Both of those teams belong in the final four. I wonder what the ratings numbers will shake out to be. The average viewership for Iowa's win over LSU in the Elite Eight was 12.3 million people. It had more views than four out of five games in the 2022-2023 NBA Final and t...

I think I saw that there's a travel party size limit that the tourney will pay for. The university could pay for more spots. So since all of Utah's games were at home previously, anyone could be there.

Re: To all members of the press who read the board
Honestly - asking good questions is so easy and so many beat reporters and media folks are so bad at it. I get concern about access (legitimate or not) if journalists start asking hard questions, but none of these are much more than softball questions anyway. Do better.
