Remaining Scholarships
In hindsight it would’ve been well worth blowing a scholie on Jayden Welling to be able to land Carter Welling. He would’ve been an excellent backup at the 5 and would’ve pushed for starter minutes by year end. Instead we’ll get a raw freshman SF and a bpa big no one wants. We’re going to be super ...

Re: Current State of USU Basketball
Sincere question here: why in the hell should he schedule Utah State? Primarily because that is what college sports should be about. Play games that are interesting to the fans. However, an equally important reason is for him to prove to everyone that he has testicles. I won't believe he does until...

Re: Max Agbonkpolo to Mont St seems like a huge step down
I’ve brought this up before, but is there anything stopping an athlete (or their representative)from going out and trying to secure their own NIL deals? Could player X go to Jacks Tire and Oil and agree to advertise for them? This is what NIL should be.

Re: Isaac Davis to USU?
I fully agree this is not the forum for this. What does surprise me is how often I hear that comments on this board are impacting whether or not a potential recruit signs here or not based on comments made by a bunch of anonymous Aggie fans. Do people really believe this? Kids making decisions about...

Re: Josh Uduje
I figured that Uduje was done after adding Anderson. Uduje had four major flaws for shooting 27.5%, low assists per game, and not that great size and speed combo. Allen and Housley have flaws, but they had been proven point guards with a handle and passing the ball. 24 minutes per game 27.5% from 3...

There's no way Jackson Grant stays now. He was granted to leave. He was granted an opportunity to stay. As a walk on? If not how many scholarships do we have left? Jackson Grant will return next season as a walk-on. Do you know if he will be on an academic scholarship? Would seem odd for him to wan...

I have only seen highlights of this kid. He looks tremendous on those highlights but it is very telling that he has no D1 offers in the state of Utah. There is definitely something missing from his overall game, I just don’t know what it is.

Huh. It seems we have quite the juxtaposition between SLB and our new head coach. Which one are we to trust?? It seems our new head coach didn’t even deem Barnes worth a walk-on spot. https://i.postimg.cc/rFMLqp3r/IMG-2688.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/zBQ39g0K/IMG-2685.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/VvGy7qgP...

Re: Current State of USU Basketball
I personally think in this new world we live in that it’s a matter of seeing how many and the quality of athletes that are in the portal and comparing what their potential contribution could be as opposed to an unproven freshman. They also have to consider that if the freshman plays and exceeds expe...

I can honestly say he is the best pure high school shooter I have ever seen and I’ve watched thousands of high school games. Would he be able to defend? Probably not. Would he create his own shot? Hard no. Can he shoot the lights out? Hell yes. I have zero skin in the game. This is 1000% an objectiv...

In regards to the original post. We have 2 players on NBA rosters and players getting poached by Kentucky and just won a tournament game. I’d say the state of USU basketball is pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Re: Edey or Sampson
I would compare Sampson more to victor. So very athletic, moved like a guard. Big men fishy shoot 3’s in that era, but I think it easily could have been part of his game. He also would have been able to defend the perimeter where Zach has no chance. I don’t see Zach being a force in the NBA. With th...
