Re: This is not a good look.

I can only reiterate what I said last year when the recording was first made public in that I am absolutely disheartened at the mental gymnastics people here are doing to defend the incompetence of USU's efforts to combat and prevent sexual assault on campus; as well as the defending of Coach Ander...

Re: This is not a good look.

You all are disappointing. What does Maddox get from lying about any of this? Andersen took zero accountability for what he said and didn’t have their teammates back. Andersen should have stepped up in this situation and been a head coach first of all, but he let his ego get in the way. Everyone her...

Re: Luncheon coverage

Was a very interesting luncheon to be at. Coach talked about the youth of the team and that we are struggling to find the playmakers to fill last years holes. Said Bonner took a ton of responsibility for his play and realize he has not been good enough. Said his knee is 100% physically, but Bonner i...

Did he win the position in the practices/practice games you saw? This is supposed to be a winning program. AD says we want t...

Re: The Offensive Offense: Why?

I refuse to believe we don’t have talent in the WR room. Cefalo is a hell of a coach. We’ve seen certain receivers show out but for some reason we aren’t calling plays that utilize them. Cobbs, Mcgriff, KVL, Vaughn all have the ability to make big plays. I just don’t think we are calling the right p...

Re: Dead Program Autopsy

I think the thing I’m most upset about is that it ruins yet another chance for this program to take the turn from just another run of the mill G5 program, to a top tier G5 team like Cincinnati, Boise, BYU (yes, they’re technically going to be P5 but they haven’t been in past years), Houston, etc. We...

I noticed a lot of the same things. Defense completely dominated today. There is tons of speed from the corners, and the D-line looks dominant. Vaughns and Hale were consistently in the backfield. Dominic Tatum was playing with the second team and it was good to see him back out there. Ajani Carter ...

While 22 provides good information, he isn’t an experienced writer like this new guy seems to be. Good writing style is just as important as the information being provided. Looks like a great player, but another QB? After this year we will have Legas, Williams, Davenport, Tuatagaloa, Larson, and now this kid. Is it normal to have six different QB’s? If he’s a mission kid then it definitely makes sense.

I don’t think Ashworth or Rylan are athletic enough or talented enough to compete with the top guards in the Mountain West, especially on the defensive side of the ball. I think a good transfer there would help wonders. I strongly disagree. PG is the only position this team doesn’t need serious hel...

Re: Wake Up Call

If conference play wasn't enough of one, seeing the size and athleticism of a mediocre Oregon team should be lasting nightmare for our coaching staff going into the offseason. We need to counsel out Dorius, Zapala, Norbert, and I hate to say it, but I'm not sure Rylan Jones is even good enough to k...

Re: Getting owned in the 2nd half

We also have to be one of the worst defensive teams I’ve ever seen. Not a single player can stay in front of their guy, and we have no one that can defend the interior. Ducks realized this and went to nothing but layups and got every single one of them.

Our starting point guard ending the game with zero points is a huge problem. Rylan isn’t a good player and has shown zero potential.

Coaching Staff

Looking at the coaches, Tim Burmeister or Ethan Morriss look like they’d be the likely options if they were to promote from within, like 22 suggested. Both have a lot of experience as an analyst on the defensive side of the ball at multiple schools so I’d be fine with either getting the job.

UTSA has already made a decision to promote two assistants to co-offensive coordinators. Tennessee has an opening at receivers coach. The amount of ways this team finds to blow the end of games is baffling. Zero composure from anyone. I also don’t know that it’s ideal to have a grass field when our state is already suffering through a severe drought. Upkeep can’t be cheap on grass fields and I don’t see the need when you can have a turf field that you don’t need to do much to take care of.

BYU, Air Force, CSU, and WYO is a tough stretch, especially with 3 of the 4 being on the road. If we can win at home and steal one or both of the conference games on the road, we should be good. The back half of the schedule looks fairly easy and if all things go well, that Boise game is going to be...
