Nice guys, all of them, but It was a good thing that someone had the guts to pull plug on the USU FB coaching career of all 4 of those guys. Perhaps it is just perception, but ever since GA1, it feels like Utah State FB has been on a bit different trajectory. What has been the difference? Whet need...

Re: Question for those out of state
We spent a couple of years in Denver and Englewood Colorado after I graduated. The college sports talk during church was always around BYU. I think I was the only Aggie around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm still in Denver area, Aurora mailing address but closer to Parker. Most talk about ...

The best hope is that they don't do a new contract for Bickerstaff. I think his contract runs out this year. Get in a coach that can look at the most successful part of the season and try to replicate that. I'm not saying the guys coming back from injury shouldn't have played and that Sam's minutes ...

I hope he gets an opportunity at MSU. Although if he was only seeing 16 min a game at Longwood, I doubt he’ll see the floor much at Michigan State. Maybe we’ll be able to see him face up with Osobor at some point. Conditioning was a factor in his minutes limitation last year. He’s a good player if ...

They need the game Dixie St. was in the championship many years ago. They were up by a few with about 3 seconds left, had the ball and decided to punt, punt gets blocked, returned for a touchdown and they lose. Could have just hiked it and told a guy to run around for 3 seconds and game would have b...

If I'm the Jazz, I probably hang on to my assets for while unless a true number 1 comes available. Agreed, I didn't trade Mitchell and Gobert to acquire all these draft picks to end up with players who aren't as good as Mitchell and Gobert and are older then when they were traded. Unfortunately, mo...

The church does not use tithing money for NIL purposes. It doesn't serve the purpose of the church particularly. I know some claim that BYU athletics is a missionary tool but I think a lot people would stop paying tithing if it is was used for outrageous NIL funds rather than on buildings, temples, ...

A few years back there was a kid on DU's club hockey team that got offered a spot on the DU NCAA hockey team. That was big news! It is saying that maybe one every 10 to 20 years there is a single player on the ACHA team (USU's level) that could make an NCAA team. Back when we started the hockey team...

Thanks for the breakdown. This is an upgrade over Sakho and allows for a Twin Towers rotation if coach wants to run with it. Didn’t we read somewhere that NIL could not be contingent on playing for a certain school? Doesn’t make sense, but I thought that’s what we talked about. That’s the idea but who’s going to enforce it. Put it in nil contracts that I they leave they have to pay it back. I don't think you could do tha...

I'd take him back. He'd give us a much-needed 3-point shooter. Looking at transfer portal highlights Shulga has improved and could be really good in this next season. Cleveland started out the season just OK. Then Sam got playing time and confidence and Cleveland went on a long winning streak. Then the injured 'starters' came back, Sam's time was cut and the Cavs have just been OK. Seems to be a pretty good in-season correlation. I'm sure there are other variable...

As a new incoming coach he probably doesn't want to counsel anyone out until he has a little more time to watch film and get to know the player and then have someone that he can replace them with. Last time I checked, a coach's longevity isn't a metric most people care about. Take ESPN, for example. The first column includes each team's win/loss record. Other measures the public seems to care about include tournament performance and national rankings. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket...

I'd even be OK if a player was given a free transfer if the coach leaves/retires/fired at the end of the season, otherwise, they got one shot and then have to sit out a year for a second transfer. I wouldn't necessarily love that but it isn't fair to have a coach recruit a player and then the coach ...
