Re: Sprinkle will play in Reno after all

I have it on good authority (my own made up data) that Great has wanted to play in Reno and he knew that if he stayed at USU the MWC would somehow step in and prevent that from happening. The obvious solution is to transfer to UW. People want to make it about money, but this clarifies the decision.

Re: Chris Murray Thoughts

Having 10 players in the portal sounds devastating, but if only 2 of them had double digit minutes against both TCU and Purdue (Osobor and Uduje) it would appear that the other 8 hurt more in potential than on the court.

14.9 is basically 15 minutes
15 times 2 = 30
Just double the numbers

One side benefit of all announcements is that I can watch the TCU game (yet again ) and see players that will be playing in Logan again next year. It’s been a while since I had the opportunity to see past players who will be back.

Re: Schedule updates

I'm not mad at you, I just strongly disagree. I'd rather play a home-and-home with a competitive A-10 team like Saint Louis than play in Orem against a UVU team that went 16-16 last year. Final KenPom results for last season show UVU at #162 and St. Louis at #199. Every year is a crap shoot outside...

As I see conferences expand and schedules adjust to account for that, I wonder at what level a team becomes somewhat irrelavant - even if they make the NCAA tournament. On a whim, I tried from memory to list the top 6 teams in the 1) Big 12 2) Big 10 (do they still say the 10?) 3) SEC 4) Big East an...

If a potential student enrolls at BYU while not a member, they require an LDS leader endorsement in which they commit to living by the Honor Code - no smoking, no drinking, no sex, etc. It would be VERY awkward to have a head coach that didn't comply with those rules recruiting players and telling t...

Queta had a great game in the G League. I believe it is the championship. 20 points. 13 rebounds. 9-11 from the field. 3 blocks. a steal. (2 TOs.) And to top it off - 0 fouls. Note: The ESPN line shows 9 baskets, 0 3s, 1 FT and 20 points so something doesn't add up. Several of the Celtic starters d...

An unmentioned dark side of NIL

With the reality that there is more money in NIL than there is in (most) college scholarship...

If VCU wins and goes to the final destination (wherever that is), Utah media will not be covering it in detail.
If Utah wins, Utah media will be highlighting the accomplishment.

Even though college degrees are no longer a point of emphasis (it appears), it still bothers me that when they were supposed to matter Huggins was let go from Cincinnati when the new president discovered that in his 10(?) years as the coach the team had not a single degree among its players.
