Re: Remaining Scholarships
We need a starting 4 and Akanno/Uduje I think Fish starts at the 4. Fish is our stretch 4 and I also expect him to start. Me too. Fish needs to hit the weight room this summer. Maybe Anderson is too good to come off the bench and Calhoun goes with a big lineup with Ian at the 2, Anderson at 3, Fish...

Re: Great Osobor
I have first hand knowledge from a number of players who weren't big fans of Danny. I do too 🤷♂️. He had success this year, no doubt, time will tell if he was actually the reason. Sprinkle stabbed them in the back, and team lost a step and consistency late in the season because Sprinkle stop coach...

Re: Noah Watterman (BYU) in the portal
Looking at the stats If we had Watterman, Johnson, Anderson, and Martinez, the 3-point % would average close to 38% over roughly 13.5 attempts which is also 5.1 made 3 points per 20 minutes. per 20 stats (attempts, 3-point percent) Watterman (3.9, 37%), Martinez (2.65, 38.1%), Anderson(4.1, 38.1%),...

Re: Noah Watterman (BYU) in the portal
For what if
If we got Watterman, we would start Johnson and Watterman.
A good coach can figure out two 4s with the following frames to rotate in the 5-spot: 6'11" 220 and 7' 227.
We would rotate in the game, but our team would be crazy with another 3-point shooter.

How we replace players
22-23 team lost Ashworth, Shulga, Funk, Akin, Jones, Dorius, and etc.
23-24 team lost Osobor, Brown, Sakho, Jackson, Burris, Max A., and probably Uduje

I wonder how much Shulga got with Villanova.
Ashworth got paid a good amount of money.

Re: Remaining Scholarships
The crazy part is that it is a complete team on paper.
1/2/3 - Martinez, Falslev, Allen, Albury, and Housley
3/4- Anderson
4/5-Johnson, Templin, Davis, and Aubin

We have had Sam Merrill, Queta, and Great Osobor.ImportAggie wrote: ↑Today, 7:17 amThat’s quite the sales pitch for us. Come to USU, and you can become the highest paid (known) college player in history
For up-and-coming players, it is pretty clear that Utah State is a good place to be.

Re: New coach on the staff
Calhoun rules for coaches
1) Must have already been his assistant coach
2) If you failed the first rule, your first name must be Eric to get the job.

He said the focus of Northern Kentucky coach is defense. During Haut's time at Northern Kentucky as an assistant coach. Northern Kentucky had the top defense in the Horizon for 3 of the 5 years that Haut was there. https://nkunorse.com/news/2020/7/20/eric-haut-receives-top-horizon-league-top-mens-ba...

Re: NAR: Seattle and Grand Canyon are part of the WCC
Makes SUUs gambit to join the WAC continue to be a poor decision. Should have stayed in the Big Sky… SUU, Utah Valley, and Utah Tech should move into the Big Sky. The Big Sky would have Weber State, Utah Valley, SUU, and Utah Tech. Southern Utah burned some bridges on their way out the door. I figu...

Re: Ouch - Wyoming losing Lindner
Something that is getting overlooked is the HS recruits. We can pursue Wyoming's decommits. The one that we try to get is Oliver Faubert if he decommits. Oliver Faubert is a 6'9" forward that had offers to Arizona State, Seton Hall, and Ole Miss. They have 4 HS recruits. https://gowyo.com/news/2023/...

Osobor should do a whole show on picking the school with the hats of the different schools then pick an Aggie hat from under the table then say thanks for the schools for showing him around and the food.
