Re: Mock draft simulators

WTF Was that draft Hype, so much hype. To be fair about all the QB's, tons of injuries last year all over the league. But half those guys shouldn't be 1st round picks. A senior WR is expensive these days. Or you can draft Jordan Addison, Puka Nacua, and pay them rookie money Even with that logic, I...

Re: Mock draft simulators

Confused about the Raiders selection of Georgia TE Brock Bowers until I read this: Bowers was born to be an elite athlete. His mother is in the Utah State Hall of Fame for her softball career, and his father received all-conference awards as a center on the Utah State football team. Now the pick mak...

Re: Mock draft simulators

Do the Vikings do anything other than take JJ McCarthy in the first? Please say yes JJ's long gone by #11. The QB who drops in these sims in Jaden Danials. Maybe because I've traded up to get him a couple of times and the algorithm wants to keep me playing. I don't want the Vikings to trade up to g...

Re: Mock draft simulators

My best Raider mock drafts happen when I am able to trade down. They need a couple of OT, OG, DT, CB, RB and a QB. I can get 5 of the 6 if the right trade is proposed.

I take the Tulane QB in round 4 at #112. Penix, Bo Nix and Rattler are not worth picks in the first 3 rounds. IMHO.

Been "playing" with a few of these draft simulators. Very fun. Not sure how accurate they are but after a few dozen drafts I'm starting to see some trends as far as the first 4 rounds. I've been mocking the Raiders. Gives me a lot more respect for the people making the picks because you can just st...

Re: Love's next season

Now that the draft is near, it reminds me that I was fairly critical of Love's potential as an NFL QB. I thought he had a horrible senior year at USU and his poor play cost the team. He also had some off-field issues. I didn't think he was mobile enough to be successful in the NFL. Turns out the Pa...

Re: 2024 Utah State Spring Football Mid-Spring Depth Chart

Ike really tailed off performance wise in the last few games. Seems like there were some reports about an injury but the guy still got out there and played. Was it worse than reported? And, if it was worse than reported, is he recovered? I think teams began scheming away from Ike and that might be ...

You do not become a multi-time High School FB, Wrestling, and Javelin Champ State Champ without a bit of competitive "juice" flowing through your veins. And you don't come back from a substantial injury to play again at the FBS collegiate level without that same "juice". Barring another injury, I w...

Re: 2024 USU FOOTBALL SPRING BALL: The Quarterback Battle

For now it would seem: Coop and/or Petras Hillstead Barnes Petras/Hillstead process field easily the best and make quickest and best reads and use the entire offense. Negative; Hillstead size is limiting whereas Petras quite tall and sees field nicely! Also Hillstead throws by far the best and most...

My question is which qb is processing the defense the best and can go through his progressions quickly. Something that was a struggle last year. great point Hillstead was fine with his timing in the pocket until he took that vicious double helmet to the head shot. I hope he's fully recover...

I was most impressed with Josh Jacobs before he got his big raise with the Raiders. His average YPC dropped from about 5 to 3.5 from 2022 to 2023. Maybe he had a down year with the Raiders, but hopefully, he'll pick it back up for Love and GB. The Raiders QBs were Jimmy Garoppolo and Aiden O’Connel...

Is this the best season of Aggie basketball ever? Kinda feels like it could be. With the level of competition we have faced, I think this is definitely the best Aggie basketball season ever. Not getting into the weeds so deep. I spoke to a member of the coaching staff at a game early in the season (very early) and he told me that he felt that this team was capable of winning an NCAA tourney game. As I watch the season play out, I'm trying to change my mind set. Sure, we want to win out ...

The NBA comish spoke to Chris Paul about the all Star game last year and asked what he could do to make the game better. Make it a competitive game not just a shoot around. Here in Niner country everyone is in lockstep with Shanahan. How can you not be? He's a winner, but IMHO his arrogance is over the top. You have someone like that as a coach, eventually his bad mojo gets in the players heads, and they fold under pressure. It's good to hear from outside sources. Chec...

Great info Roy! Thanks for sharing. The highest paid DLinemen in the NFL are now interior guys (Tackles). Tackles that can get to the QB and run stopping anchors in the middle of the DL are the secret sauce for great defenses. 49er's Coach and GM are open about their team success being a function of...

I know we just hired our new DC, but are we hearing anything about a switch in our base scheme?
