Re: Current State of USU Basketball

That's so true. College athletics is a runaway freight train. You dole out tons of money hoping to create something for the coming season knowing full well everyone else is doing the same. Then, you pretty much wipe the slate, players good or bad jump back into a pot while schools scour the corners ...

Zero Tribune Coverage

I've been taking the Tribune for over 50 years and I've never seen a time when we have been totally black balled. We don't ever appear on their table of upcoming games any more. I believe they are attempting to make sure USU isn't recognized statewide to ensure any advantage to statewide recruiting ...

Re: Do we stink?

This is one of the most disgusting performances I can remember. Bonner is a train wreck and for some unknown reason the coach has this love affair with him. He can't move, his passes are off, the whole offense is worse than bad. Yet the coach leaves him in and refuses to play either backup, both of ...

Re: Another choke job

How many times has this happened this year. We go into the locker room at half time either ahead, tied, or at least very much in the game. Only to come out and lay an egg in the second half. It's almost predictable. The opponent seems to make adjustments or at least they're able to regroup and get f...

He shot 70% last year from the line, so he's capable. I don't know what his problem is this year, but he needs to find a way.

Re: Did Christmas break make our guys forget what a 3 point shot is?

Terrible effort. I don't care if this is Odom's first year or not. He'll shoulder the blame for not having the team ready, but these are D-1 basketball players they should come ready to play as individuals and as a team despite the coach. They mailed this game in. There is no excuse! One of the wors...

I'm sorry, but I'm not a half full guy. This team has a long long way to go. Marco has shown me nothing. There is no team defense. And offensively, we look completely lost. Maybe, maybe as time goes on they'll begin to look somewhat organized and playing as a unit, but for now...they look awful.

Normally this game wouldn't worry me, but their team was also full of freshmen and they lacked the overall experience I thought we had. We did not play well and I think tomorrow could be a repeat. We have a way to go.

Didn't we go on a 37-0 run against Idaho one year? GFA will have to confirm. That's a rarity in football. To do it against an Aggie basketball team with an amazing tradition that is incomprehensible. That is correct. It was a road game—I can remember listening to Al an the radio. Here are the audio...

The thing that baffles me - beyond the complete offensive ineptitude: How do you allow a freshman that had scored a total of 18 points for the year coming in to the game, score 19 points in 3:37 to close the game out? Seriously? That makes me sick! No matter what your expectations are, no matter ho...

To say these are college kids, so take it easy is a lame statement. These are college kids playing college kids and they're at a level where praise is not the only thing given out. There's no reward for participation. They have thousands of people riveted to their every play. People who in many case...

Brito Has Lost His Shot

Brito can do a lot of things well, but his shooting is killing us. Over the past 11 games he's shooting 25% from the field and 19% from the 3 point line. He played well against St. Katherine's and San Jose, two mighty teams, but if you take them out of the mix he's shooting 17% from the field and 13...

Anderson appear to be too slow and undersized to be effective when the rest of the team is struggling. If someone would just take off it would help everyone including Anderson. If we can't hit from the guard line to open things up the defense will continue to corral Anderson.

The wound is beginning to heal this morning and I'm still a GA supporter. It's natural to lash out at the Head Coach because he's ultimately responsible, but I'm ...

All year long we couldn't figure out how to get off blocks, wrap up people and basically just play sound defense. It all goes back to the defensive coordinator. I was proud of the effort and how we stayed in this game down Queta, Kuba, and essentially Bean in the first half. Guys played hard and our defensive effort gave us a chance. We were outgunned tonight in enemy territory against a top 50 opponent. No shame in coming up just short. This is one of the...
