Re: Ouch - Wyoming losing Lindner

I knew he was who Wyoming would go after, but if they get him what a kick in the nuts to Green Bay.

Re: Ouch - Wyoming losing Lindner

Does anyone else think it’s crazy how much Graham Ike getting hurt changed the trajectory of Wyoming basketball? The players would have run like the wind from the program either way. Lindner is/was the problem there. So true. I always had the suspicion that Ike wasn't hurt enough to not return mid ...

Re: Ouch - Wyoming losing Lindner

Wyoming has had some good players in the past but I have no idea what their NIL situation is. One thing about it, whoever they hire is going to have a long rope and low expectations at first.

Re: Ouch - Wyoming losing Lindner

His assistant (Sundance Wicks) from 2022-23 went to Green Bay and did a great job getting that program back to respectable. He's a Wyoming native but he wouldn't want to make the move back at this juncture.

I'm not sure why I would give much credence to a writer who ranked USU as the seventh best team in the conference heading into the MW tournament last year.
Maybe he foresaw the OT vs FSU and crapping the bed vs SDSU. Awesome year but the MWC tourney was a low point.

Re: Current State of USU Basketball

I think you should create a table for 5/10/15/20/25/30/35 and 40 stats. Even 45 or 50 for an occasional OT or double OT.

Re: Isaac Davis to USU?

A lot of the criticism is because of scheme. So many times Great was switched to guard on the perimeter which wasn't his strong suit.

Re: USU Transfer Portal Tracker

Wow, we lost out on Max to Montana State? How? We couldn’t beat their NIL? I'm assuming that Max is looking for guaranteed playing time much like Uduje. Along with that, Calhoun likes the 3 ball and maybe MSU came close to what we would actually offer NIL wise. Like you stated earlier, it's kinda t...

Re: Combine Invitations

I read today the Lakers may very well draft Bronny in order to hang onto LBJ. And other teams might in order to lure LBJ out of LA. Rest assured this is going to be a package deal just like the bros that went to UVU.

This pretty much lines up with a list of tiers that players fall into for the draft. There were like 125+ listed and no one named Great.

What am I missing? It seems Josh wants a starting role and Calhoun couldn't promise one with Mason and Ian already on board. So where did Calhoun drop the ball? By not promising a starting gig?

Re: MW transfer portal tracker

There's been a few NAIA guys that have gone on to contribute in D1 and I think that might increase in the portal era. Way back when, Michael Jordan had a couple of running mates out of NAIA schools that were pretty fair by the name of Pippen and Rodman.

Something to keep in mind is that Great and Amari play the same position, Amari is less of an offensive force but is a great defender and rebounder, exactly what fits well in Popes system. Great doesn’t fit well in Popes system and I think this commitment is a good thing for our chances of a Great ...

Re: Current State of USU Basketball

I've learned a valuable life lesson and everyday tactic from SLB. Anytime I get busted saying something stupid or being completely unrealistic and wrong about something, I just yell..."PARODY". Having o% accountability for my actions has given me a new lease on life.
