Re: Concussion Protocol
It appears that Legas had to leave the game last night due to concussion. Does anybody know if there is a protocol dictating when a player, after having left a game, can return to play? (I know he can't return during the same game.) Much as we need Legas, I hope the coaches don't bring him back too ...

I was surprised as well that we didn't go after him when Stew retired. Would have, IMO, been the better choice than Duryea, but perhaps Rahe had no interest.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑May 16th, 2022, 3:28 pmShocked he never ended up head coach at USU, for better or worse.

I wasn't at the game, and the thread so far says little about the O-line. Last year Bonner had to take way too many hits. Are we going to be improved in pass protection?

Re: Gymnastics Conference Champs
This is awesome. Not to derail the thread, but does anyone know what the plans are with the MRGC after BYU goes do the Big 12? I imagine that a three team conference is not ideal. Maybe apply for affiliate membership in the B12? Currently only three schools sponsor gymnastics - Iowa State, OU and W...

Re: Pro'lly guna jinx'em - NMSU up by 10 over UCONN at half time
This post will probably draw some boos but I opined, way back, when the MWC expanded and took in USU and SJSU that I would have preferred NMSU over SJSU. I think NMSU got royally screwed at the time, and said I suspected that it was due to the objections of UNM, though of course that is just specula...

This thread should be read as a follow up to earlier threads about whether Odom is a good coach. I said earlier that from what I got from a friend who lives in Baltimore and watched Odom's teams that I believe he is. However, Odom came in with a problem Smith didn't have. Odom didn't have Merrill, d...

Re: Best game of the year
Always happy to see a win over UNLV, but then I'm of, a, uh, vintage to remember the old Big West Conference. Back then, it was a tough league, generally DOMINATED by UNLV. Recall UNLV won the national title as a member of that conference. Brings to mind the game in 1985 in the Spectrum, which UNLV ...

Re: Our Women's Basketball Team is Broken
What a win today from Women’s Basketball! They looked like a completely different team today compared to the last few games. Wyoming had no answer for them whatsoever! Easily the best basketball I’ve seen them play all year! Well, an unfair question: What do you think got them going? I confess I am...

I think it well past the time for USU to have a Vet school. In many other related fields, such as animal and dairy science, USU has been well known for a long time. Over the years, most of the vets I have dealt with have come from Colorado State, though my current dog doc came from WSU. I can see no...

The conference of champions
With Washington State losing today to Central Michigan, the mighty PAC-12 is now 0- fer in bowl games. The only one remaining (UCLA's game was cancelled due to Covid protocols) is Utah vs Ohio State.

Honestly I think that the demand would be too low to justify I went to the Las Vegas Bowl waaaaay back when (1993 against Bowling Green) It was surprisingly cold that evening, at least for Vegas. On the USU side, there was coffee available all game. The hot chocolate sold out during halftime, which...

I admit up front that there is some cherry-picking here since I haven't gone back and researched the board history, but I think I am close on most fronts. When the Blue-White scrimmage was cancelled, it forced my expectations of that scrimmage to move to the Montana Western game - where my biggest ...

We aren’t good enough to play in the MW title game this year guys. A bowl game is looking likely. And I'll be pleased as could be with that. I'd love to be in the title game, but we clearly have some gaps to figure out before we're at that level. I LOVE this team's fight. Agree. I have to be please...

Re: Why don't USU fans support USU?
And just one thing to add — I would be okay with a close to full on dissociation from BYU. The level at which they live rent free in the minds of many USU fans needs to change. If we just stopped playing them, they wouldn’t hold so much sway with many of you. BYU is a cancer. Time to excise it from...

Re: Why don't USU fans support USU?
Others have already posted possible answers to the question posed by the OP that I would have said, but I'll add a few observations. I have long wondered (with no answer and no way to get one other than a thorough person to person survey) how many business owners in Logan benefit directly from USU a...

The majority of the posts in this thread are, in my view, very reasonable and understanding of why Smith chose to go. I had earlier expressed the hope that he might stay for a few more years, perhaps not as many as Stew, but enough to maybe make a decent run in the Big Dance. Whether he will accompl...
