Finding a vaccine is not a sure thing so at some point we just need to proceed as normal. Those with underlining conditions should be extra cautious and stay away from large events, but let the rest of society make the decision whether they want to risk going to sporting events. Nobody has been even...

They would need to put asterisks by every player that got the extra year. Can you imagine all the school and national records that would be impacted by this one class got an additional year. Very stupid idea! Let's say that Merrill decided to play and extra year. He would break USU's all-time scorin...

I don't know who else has wore the number 5 jersey between Grant and Merrill, but if it has been only been Merrill then we need to get that number back on the court again next year. While were at it we ought to hand out jersey's #33, #20, #6, #24, #31. Maybe Miller would benefit from a jersey change...

I just saw an NIT bracket posted a few days ago on mid major madness and it has us as a 2 seed playing Utah!! Imagine Utah being forced to play in the Spectrum and having it be in the NIT! I wouldn't get too excited until we go back out on the road and win a couple of games in a hostile environment. Our last three road games have been embarrassing. Until the team shows that they won't fold without the motivation of the home crowd, I will be skeptical.

Boxing Analogy for Boise Game
Coach Smith loves boxing analogies. Here's what Coach Smith might of said in the post game to help explain the loss: "Well we did knock them down and then we just all assumed they were out for the count. I was shocked along with the rest of the team that they didn’t stay down. The fact they were abl...

Re: On the bright side
If Quetta comes back there is a chance coach Smith could put a decent team on the court next year. Queta is a difference maker when heathy and a 1/2 Queta is huge upgrade from anybody else on this team down low. If however, he decides not to come back, I think we will be very mediocre.

I’m not very confident that we won’t see the same thing, but without the early season wins. If Quetta decides not to return and decides to go overseas or something, we will have lost our top two players (heads above any returning players) from this years team. We hope there is some talent on the ben...

Bairstow must be extremely frustrated at this point. Coach must have no confidence in him to keep rolling out Britto and Miller despite how awful they are playing.. If I was him, I would be worried about next year as well because currently the coach must see huge holes in his game to not be playing ...

Re: These are college kids, so take it easy.
Guys, guys, guys. I don’t want to hear about our players sucking. This one is squarely in Smith. The substitutions, the foul management, and playing not to lose with 5+ minutes left are coach’s decisions. We stood around until there were less than 10 seconds in the block to start our offense. Of co...

Re: Where was Bairstow?
He played in the first half and did not play well. In the 2nd half we were dominating until 4 minutes to go so there was no reason to play him. So what did Bairstow do that was bad. Especially compared to Britto and Miller. If I remember right he did not close out to his defender and left them open...

USU - 62 Nevada - 73 I just hope to see 30 minutes of Bairstow, Merrill sitting & resting his injuries, and the ball being dumped down to Queta almost every time on offense. Defense wins championships, which includes rebounding. Teams will have nights when they struggle offensively, but you should be able to bring the defense every night. In Stews glory years we won a lot of road games where the offense just wasn't there, but we were able to slow the other team down eno...

I’m very disappointed with this season. Not with the win total so much as with how bad we looked in our losses. The game is changing with the all emphasis being placed on threes. The trend is to play man to man defense and switch every screen. That can be difficult if you don't have some size at every position.

I think Kuba is starting to help that group be used to playing with a big Center in the middle because that's what it will be like once Queta is back. It keeps the lineups and style similar. I tend to agree with this as well. Also, having a 7'2" guy jumping the ball to start the game gives you the ...

The team has a lot of deficiencies. Terrible corners that can't tackle, can't get off blocks, and struggle in coverage. An inexperienced offensive line that has a couple players that are just not ready to be starters. I don't know what is going on with Love. He has lost all his confidence. He is hes...
