Re: Proposed Group of 5 Playoff
Wyoming, San Jose State, Hawaii, and Air Force should go there. For the rest of the MWC plus Oregon State and Washington State belong in the P5 world. The future hinges on finding the right media deal in the near future. https://i.postimg.cc/QV6JJ9xW/200w-1.gif This isn’t even his most unreasonable...

Re: does having more pro-Sports in Utah help to raise USU's profile
The answer is yes. The media world can't ignore Utah anymore because the bottom of Utah County to the top Cache County is now in the millions of people (the area is not that big to have that many people. Utah State and Utah would be the biggest winners in this because both schools can promote thems...

Re: Current State of USU Basketball
What I found fascinating about this entire discussion is that even though we are returning practically every key contributor from a top 25 team that won an NCAA tournament game despite losing our coach, everyone seems to assume that any player at USU who has a decent season is automatically going t...

With limited seating because of obstructed views at 14 k at the Delta Center and 12 k fans already asking for season tickets I think they are off to a great start. https://twitter.com/pierrevlebrun/status/1781361324749955101?s=46 how do you sell 20k season tickets for a 14k venue? are they planning...

In today's world of CBB yesterday's corruption is today's sensible business practice. More and more get the feeling that Sprinkle is not well liked. I mean it depends what you’re looking at right? Raquon Battle and his mom were in Seattle for his presser. Must’ve liked him a little bit 🤷♂️? People...

Really interesting if Sprinkle takes no one with him. The only way anyone goes with him is if Darius Brown gets that RUMORED extra season of eligibility. How would Darius get another year of eligibility, what’s the pitch? He’s used his Covid year, and Med Red Shirt year and played 4 other years. He...

Sam got a nice ovation the first time he check in and played well. Going from watching March Madness to watching the NBA was eye opening....

When will his salary be announced? What are the numbers? 5 year deal, $625k base salary with a $25k raise each year. $300k in annual media rights. Sprinkle was $900k last year with media rights and was set to move to $925k this year so it looks like we're picking up where we left off. What’s the bu...

Re: Kick Off Time Against utah
My guess is a placeholder. 11 isn't a kickoff window. That time was used a lot last year, would not be a surprise. 11 MT was used a lot as a national broadcast window last year? If you say so but it’s typically 10/1-1:30/4:35-5/8:00-8:30 for the major networks so I’d be surprised if our game didn’t...

I’d pay him more for the simple reason it means the buyout if he breaches can be much higher and we can negotiate the buyout if we terminate him without cause to be lower. Bumping him up only if he does well won’t do anything because he’ll be out the door by then regardless but a high buyout might ...

And as I thought about it some more, another strong possibility is that an offer was made to one candidate but they made a counteroffer that USU doesn't want to accept and/or USU has reason to believe that he is just trying to get a raise from his current employer and isn't a serious candidate. I g...

Re: New Head Coach Contracts
It would be tough to enforce because you’d effectively be binding a third party (the new school) to the contract between old school and the coach. The coach is in breach of the contract when he takes a new job which is why the coach has to pay the buyout but the school is not obligated to comply wit...
