Re: Washington State & Oregon state to the WCC
What happens if they are both mediocre in football the next 2 years? Does the top of the mwc and pac leftovers command a better TV deal than what an unchanged mwc gets? Second question. If you are a bottom dweller in a power conference not named the sec. How do you feel right now? I think they are ...

Re: Florida State very unhappy with the ACC
I mentioned this in the other thread but I think Calford wouldn't swallow their pride and return to the PAC. If Florida State finds the loophole to exit the ACC I think the SEC, B1G and Big12 take up the majority of the ACC. The few ACC teams not taken join up with the AAC. This will be what I watc...

Re: OSU and WSU Scheduling - Official
They now have their hands on the war chest. They have no desire to affiliate with the bottom of the Mountain West. In the end they’ll do what TV execs want them to. Their war chest is heavily overrated and not nearly as much as they are putting on. The Judge basically gave them Control Of the confe...

Saw this response to the WCC / PAC2 agreement over on the WSU message board. It seems to be a common thought on their board. "No, my good buddy! This is awesome news!!! It's official: Oregon State and Washington State are going to execute the 2 year stall tactic! YAHOO!!!!!! The next two seasons, a...

Away games
USU is not going to host any “power” conference teams. They don’t play away games. I heard something on the radio that was a little surprising. The Big 12 and PAC 12 have played a combined 21 true road games going 10-11 so far this year. Cincinnati at 1-1 is the only team with more than one, while B...

BOOOO 2-1 with Utah sucks. No thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Agree. Sets a bad precedent, too. From now on Utah (and probably now BYU, since they are both BIG12) will expect 2-for-1 from USU in football and basketball. Bad deal. I think a 2-1 with any power 4 is a good deal as long as w...

I liked the Virgin if you want to walk to the games. If you know how to know what hotel you’ll get you can usually get a good deal on Hotwire (non refundable). Also, I’m not a gambler and usually find something outside the city to do.

I don’t see this as going anywhere. The eventual end is for players to be employees. The NCAA wants to look like it’s taking proactive steps, but paying $3 million to women’s teams so they can pay football players $30k a year isn’t going to solve the NIL issue. The only thing this could do is separa...

Coming to grips with the reality that your athletic program is the spitting image of a MWC caliber program and only appears to be bigger and better because you've had the good fortune of riding coat tails for the last century must be difficult. It'll take people some time. If I relate this to the e...
