Re: As much as I want to criticize...

Did we even bring our TEs to Arkansas? It's possible that we left the TEs in Logan with the note-to-self to "NEVER THROW A DAMN BUBBLE SCREEN." That play never works for us. Seriously - did anyone there see a single TE in Jonesboro? Wyatt Houston has looked to have very steady hands early on in the ...

Re: Attendance Solutions

I attended the first three games of the season, which gave me a pretty unique perspective on things. It helped me realize that football in Northern Utah will never, ever be as big as football in the south. I hadn't been to a game at Romney in years - so I noticed some very serious improvements... Reveling in someone else's struggle with various vices is bad form...no matter how much you may dislike them or the team they played for. Hope he gets the help that he needs to deal with this situation. Better form: not doing cocaine and stealing weird stuff from a Best Buy when you have a wife and...

Re: Atmosphere in Neyland

I thought that the stadium was as loud as any that I have ever been to (Wisconsin, Oklahoma included). 3rd downs were very, very loud. Some reports seem to indicate that the noise had no effect. I disagree; it certainly did. In the first quarter, we called timeout on a 3rd down because we couldn't c...

Re: Rumor: #5 and Favors for #1 Pick

I've had more time to think about this, and I actually don't think it would be as bad as I initially thought. That is, assuming it was only Favors and the #5 for the #1. If we throw in anything else (other than maybe a 2nd rounder) then its a bad trade, in my opinion. The more I think about Favors,...

21 games is the "only 5 teams have 21+ wins over the last 14 years" stat. Allows USU to be mentioned in the same sentence as Duke and Syracuse. They'll find something else to say about us when we are on TV. Only x teams have 19+ wins over the last 15 years works well too. At what point do we realiz...

Is there something significant about precisely 21 wins? Seems like an arbitrary win count to me...

So what if we win 20? 19? 18?

I guess my point is: Who cares if it comes to an end? What really matters is where we go from here.

I didn't see this posted yet: http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogsutahsports/54464538-59/utah-utes-aggies-2014.html.csp I'm pretty surprised that Utah agreed to this. Serious question here. Is Mendenhall all there? Good but not great? As only a Sophomore the man averaged 16 and 10, led his team to back to back MWC titles and to a sweet 16 appearance. I'm not 100% sold on Burks thus far. I really don't see him as ever being more than a really good 6th man, partly because I am so high on Hayward. A line-up with PG, Burks, Hayward, Favors and Kanter is too small... and a new, young point guard is an absolute must if this team is ever going to go an...

If the Jazz can somehow get Eric Bledsoe from the Clippers, it will be a big boost in their competitiveness. He's not going to remain a backup PG after this year, the Jazz have significant trade chips, and the Jazz really, really, really need a young, defensive PG. Id trade Millsap - or Millsap and ...
