Re: Aggie gear in SLC?
I would hope, but not bet on, the Alumni Association and Athletics Department would be bringing a bunch of merch for purchase at the pre-game event or in the arena. Otherwise, unfortunately in the Salt Lake valley Scheels is probably your best bet.

Re: Your personal non-USU tournament memories
My junior year of HS I went to visit my dad in Atlanta over spring break to do a college visit road trip through the south (obviously ended up going to school elsewhere). Before heading out on our road trip though we went to the Michigan State vs Temple Elite Eight game. That was my first NCAA tourn...

Re: Visiting Columbus
There is also a casino in Columbus for those of you interested, but there's not much around it. I never went while I was there but had friends go regularly. I would guess it's just a little nicer than Montego Bay in Wendover since it is newer, but probably not much... https://www.hollywoodcolumbus.c...

Thanks for the write-up. I've been trying to figure out what to do with downtime. I've spent some time in Ohio but not a ton in Columbus. I will throw in 1 recommendation though. Melt Bar and Grilled is a really good restaurant. https://meltbarandgrilled.com/locations/columbus/ Ahh good catch! Melt...

Covering a couple events may have been, but as they mayor said, the number of events they're getting requests for has grown significantly (I don't have the data, so am taking the mayors word). Police officers are non-exempt employees and therefore covered by overtime regulations, so anything beyond...

Visiting Columbus
For those of you lucky enough to go to Columbus for the game, I’m jealous. My wife and I went to grad school at OSU and Columbus is still probably my favorite place I’ve ever lived. We moved away four years ago, but I figured I'd throw out a few recommendations of things to see/eat/do while in town....

Re: Homecoming Parade in Jeopardy
The city clearly wouldn't be able afford to provide the extra police force for free for all events, so IMO it makes sense that they'd need to consider charging for all events. Yes, it's an extra expense for the event organizers, but when most other events are already paying for it then why shouldn't...

My understanding is that it's technically illegal in the state of Utah to have a "buy-in" since that's considered gambling, so most of the companies I've worked for have just set up a free online bracket through CBS or ESPN and gifted the top three either cash, a gift card, extra PTO, things like th...

I will doubt it until we either win tomorrow or our name appears on screen Sunday. I have a hard time believing the MWC would get 3 teams in. Not saying we wouldn’t deserve it, I just don’t trust the committee to make fair decisions.

I was a freshman at USU in the 03-04 season when we were in the top 25 and left out, so I will never think we're a "lock" until our name is on the screen on Selection Sunday. I believe we have to win at minimum our first game in the tourney, and likely our 2nd.

Don't touch the Spectrum. Do not move the seating back even one inch. After Saturday night I don't think anyone can convince me otherwise. No need to add seating to Maverik any time soon since we're not near selling out the 25k seats as is. The 1 "must do" for Maverik for me is to widen the east sid...

Re: LSU date?
It's weird that LSU has an SEC game the weekend before Thanksgiving next year. Normally that's the annual SEC November Bye week where they all play some FCS team. It looks like they have three money games early with GA Southern (8/31), NW State (9/14), and USU (10/5). Weird.

Folks are always going to think Logan is far away unless there is an overall push for tourism. That sa...

As a first step, rather than 8, go to 6 and give the top two a bye. All P5 conference champs and the top ranked G5 team get a spot. IMO, the CCG should be an elimination game.

Re: Scheduling Utes
The justifications I've seen for why the U would go to Laramie or Dekalb is because players like to fly places, recruiting, and those schools only want to do one home and home. None of those are good reasons to do a home and home with a G5 team. Honestly, they probably shouldn't do any home and home...

Re: Wells leader at Texas Tech right now
Wells deserves to take the money and run if he's offered a significant raise at any P5. Even with three bad years and getting fired, he'd still make more than if he had a successful and happy 12 year run here. It's a no brainer that none of us would turn down. I simply disagree with that logic. If ...

If I'm TT our Colorado I try to hire the Iowa State coach, the Kentucky coach, or similar. If you want to be a big-time P5 you don't hire a G5 coach. Fair, but are Texas Tech or Colorado really much of a step up from Iowa State or Kentucky? Why would those coaches leave mid/lower tier P5 programs f...
