2013 PICK'EM FINAL RESULTS THREAD

Weekly Pick'Em
CONGRATS to AggiesForever who wins 2013 Weekly Pick'Em with a score of 147, and a low week of 8. A repeat winner, AF had a strong final 5 weeks to overtake dhilk3785 who led most of the early weeks, AF ended the year with 74.2% of his picks being correct. NHAggie, last year's winner, was 3 games behind. Third place ended up in tie with dhilk3785 and TrueBigBlue getting 142 correct.

Who The HELL Cares Game
CONGRATS to ustate98 who wins 2013 WTHCG with 13 of the 14 games correct. He missed the Week 1 game, when South Dakota Coyotes beat UC Davis Aggies 7-10.

aggies1, FloppyHat and Reynard Muldrake each had 11 games correct.

This was a lot of fun, looking forward to doing it again next year. I'm kicking myself for forgetting to make my picks one week! If I has got my average of 11 that week I would have taken second. Oh well!

Honestly, the secret to winning these kinds of things is making your picks with your head, not your heart. Sometimes you may have to pick against USU.

in years past I have PM'd anyone in the top 10 the last 3-4 weeks if I hadn't seen anything by the night before game 1. I have been crazy busy this year at work, and sometimes barely got around to looking at a summary for the main reminder. Two weeks this year I missed my ($20 buy-in) NFL pick'em deadline.

I have thought about asking for Google usernames on the worksheet for next year, so I can set-up security since we had a couple of "oops, I overwrote that other line" which took me some time to rifle through the revision history to find out what the real pick was. If people are willing to give me their usernames, then I think I could set up email reminders. This may happen for 2014, if I have time next summer to research it....

Awesome, I think using usernames would save some time and I could set a reminder for myself.. (I suppose I could have also done thay this year) Let me know if I can help ease your burden somehow next year AginNEIowa.. If you know anything about setting up the GOOGLE Docs to have login and security and be ready to create a new file every Sunday afternoon/evening, then feel free to get that set-up. If you have time before the bowls are announced Sunday, we could run a trial version for the Bowls. I can send you the games each week, and you create the doc...
