2014 Draft predictions?

Post by noods » March 2nd, 2013, 6:23 pm

A year ago people put out their predictions about who we thought would be drafted in 2013. No one guessed Willie and were wrong about some who we thought had a chance.

So who do we think will get picked next year?

Tyler Larsen. I think if Mo Alexander can come in and play safety(I think that is what he is planning on playing) he is a guy I could see if he has a great year. AJ, can't spell or won't even attempt his last name, the big DT. He would also need a good year. And my surprise pick is DJ Tialavea. I think he is an excellent blocking tight end who also is a threat to catch the ball.

With a good year I think any of the following could.

Nevin Lawson
Devonta Glover Wright
Maurice Alexander
Tyler Larsen
Eric Schultz

This might scare some people but Fackrell is eligible for the draft after this season.

I'd love for Fackrell to have that great of a year where that would be a consideration.

If he does well enough he may leave after his junior year, but I'd be shocked if he garnered enough attention as a soph to head to the big leagues.

My bad. I thought Joe was going to be a senior.

I agree that DJ will make a roster. He is big, strong, and has a nasty streak. Runs well and has decent hands.

Tyler Larsen, AJ Pataiali'i, Mo Alexander, Nevin Lawson, and DJ Tialavea as a tackle not a TE.

I remember many thought that I was crazy when I said Lawson would be playing on Sunday. Too lazy to look up the threads to prove my point, but they are there. Also, Tyler should get a look as well.

Tavaris will get some looks with a solid year.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think it's a long shot that he'll be playing in the NFL.

Star Lotulelei is now the #1 pick in McShay's latest mock draft on espn.com. That should make Tyler Larsen a first rounder next year, right? Larsen played great against Star didn't he? I don't pay much attention to the trenches when I'm watching a game. Then again, centers don't typically go high.
