What are we going to get from Chuckie?
I didn't see any of spring practice. I was sad to see Darrel Garretson go, but I am excited to have Chuckie back. I guess I am asking for pure speculation, but what are we going to have with Chuckie this year assuming he is healthy? Are we going to get the Chuckie Keeton from his sophomore year, or are we going to get the Chuckie from last year? Anyone have any insight into this?
Also, is our offensive line going to be able to protect him?

Did we get a new OL coach?Mr. Sneelock wrote:I didn't see any of spring practice. I was sad to see Darrel Garretson go, but I am excited to have Chuckie back. I just can't shake that nagging feeling that we are going to be (I can't express myself without swearing) about the OL all year.aceofspadeskb wrote:Did we get a new OL coach?Mr. Sneelock wrote:I didn't see any of spring practice. Well i do not think you will see Chuckie from last year or his sophomore year because time travel does not exist but I'm excited to have this year's Chuckie this fall!

Perhaps with another year of experience the "O" line will play better. Certainly with bigger backs this season we should expect more broken tackles and decent inside runs. Our current strength coach was pleased with the positive physical progress of our running backs.

Wysocki ought to bring some beneficial cross-pollinization from UCLA.

Although I don't really know what to expect from our O-Line, I'm excited to see what Coach Heupel will bring to the offense and how that benefits Chuckie. I'm expecting him to play a full season and be good but not as great as he was the first five games of his Junior season. I'm trying to keep my expectations medium in general, but especially in regards to Chuckie.

I think we all would like to witness CK finish his career at USU with a bang...sort of finish what he started. In reality, I would hope that he simply finishes his final season healthy. Whatever happens, I'm just grateful that I was able to witness one of the all-time Aggie greats play.

Re: What are we going to get from Chuckie?
The other day I watched a youtube video about USU football. After that was over the next one that automatically started was the Auburn game. So I watched a little bit of that. It brought back all the memories of "Wow, we get this Keeton kid for 4 more years!" I think that if he is truly healthy it could be a special year.

Much as I detest such speculation so far in advance, I'll say what we will get from Chuckie is the best he can give, given his physical condition, his mental condition, and how well the team around him performs. If anybody finds that vague and rather meaningless, well, that is the kind of response the OP question deserves.

Well, jeans, I wouldn't say all of your posts are examples of precision, but I don't arrogate to point that out.brownjeans wrote:Fixed it for you72AgGrad wrote:Much as I detest such speculation so far in advance, I'll say what we will get from Chuckie is the best he can give, given his physical condition, his mental condition, and how well the team around him performs. You're absolutely right, my posts are pretty much all garbage.72AgGrad wrote:Well, jeans, I wouldn't say all of your posts are examples of precision, but I don't arrogate to point that out.brownjeans wrote:Fixed it for you72AgGrad wrote:Much as I detest such speculation so far in advance, I'll say what we will get from Chuckie is the best he can give, given his physical condition, his mental condition, and how well the team around him performs. Sorry, I saw an opportunity to play with words to entertain myself and I couldn't pass it up. Your post could have been authored by anyone and I would have done it, I just couldn't resist.

Re: What are we going to get from Chuckie?
Considering his knowlege of the game and lack of a knee brace, If he stays healthy this will be his best year. The OL remains a concern as does the RB position. A Great defense will help out our offensive issues. One has got to think that our D will do pretty well this year especially with AJayi sitting on a bench somewhere in the NFL.
