Re: Inmates Running the Asylum
Still not buying that. Is it written in a handbook somewhere? I'm not saying she's going to be named the AD, but I have a hard time believing that there is a "policy" out there at USU that an interim AD cannot become the full time AD.AGinNEIowa wrote:I'm sure that AggiesForever is not talking about CAL, I think he's talking about policy at USU, which is what we really care about with this discussion.ratofallaggies wrote:100% false. Cal is promoting their Interim AD to full time AD.AggiesForever wrote:As the interim AD, she is not eligible to be named the athletic director. This is typical for administrative hirings at USU. If she actually wanted to be the AD, she would have notified by Stan that she would not be eligible to be the AD and would not have accepted the interim title so she could interview for the AD position. By accepting the title of interim AD, she has taken herself out of the running for the AD job.

Re: Inmates Running the Asylum
I got all excited for a moment thinking this would be some ridiculous activity that the USUFANs board members would get involved with. Something like a cabal of Hipsterdoofus, Freakboy, Gamefaqs (to keep us straight), and others to lead us to whatever nonsense goal we had. Then I read the thread some and was sad it wasn't some absurd thing like I was thinking.
Oh well moving on.
BTW it has been fun to drive by and see the progress on the tear down of the stadium west side. I look forward to seeing the foundations laid for the new part.

Sorry it didn't meet your expectations, but maybe if you go over it again it'll grow on you.crazywookie wrote:I got all excited for a moment thinking this would be some ridiculous activity that the USUFANs board members would get involved with. Re: Inmates Running the Asylum
Someone has to be the interim, would any of you picked someone else? Don't think anyone should panic about this.

I think it's a legitimate concern. The interim tag can easily be removed.Jjoey52 wrote:Someone has to be the interim, would any of you picked someone else? Don't think anyone should panic about this.

Agree that it can, but don't think so in this instance. Who else is there to be interim?9

I know a potted plant that would do the same job for half the salary.

You really think it could live on that salary? The cost of living for potted plants just isn't what it used to behipsterdoofus21 wrote:I know a potted plant that would do the same job for half the salary.
