I don't think Turbo is done. He will be back.

That would be pretty crazy. How do you go from being a main backup and contributing 3rd down back on a Super Bowl team to suddenly waived from the lowly Browns? It's not like he is a 30 year old RB either. :headscratch:

Was wondering if he was injured since he was doing as well as the other backs and then only had 3 carries one week and none the next. Interesting to drop him after he took up a roster spot for 6 weeks while he recovered from injury.

Dang...the kid and I are going to the Browns/Bengals game in December (after the Packers/Lions game!) and were hoping to see him play.

He had both hips operated on in the off-season. Said it improved his health but you never know.

I think he fumbled on 2 of his 3 carries the week before last. Both fumbled exchanges with the qb, so not sure who gets credited with the fumble. Wouldn't be surprised if that's why he had 0 carries last week then waived.

The average career span of an NFL running back is 4 years. Turbin is right on average.

Can't help but wonder if he maybe had been better off staying with the Seahawks on the IR and getting super healthy this year.

If he doesn't find a place to go, I would love to see him come back here and be our strength and conditioning coach.

He's an experienced back who knows how to pick up a blitz or peel off to the flat on third down. He'll get a crack as a FA in the off-season; in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the Seahawks sign him again for the stretch run if they keep having health issues at RB.

IMO, there was no one more deserving of a big break in the NFL than him. Here's hoping that someone, ANYONE, gives him another chance.

Seattle should give him another chance. Their current 3rd string RB is the oldest RB in the league. Lynch won't last forever. Rawls is the heir apparent but Turbo will be valuable still.

He will bounce around for awhile. I hope he finds a spot.

But, NFL RBs age in dog years, so he is old by FA RB standards. He has injury issues too. I imagine there are a handful of teams who will look his way once they have injuries at RB.

I would rather him change his name, his identity, and walk on as a JC transfer, play out the rest of the year, and all of next year.

He did have a year of eligibility remaining when he left.

Per NFL insider Ian Rapoport via Twitter:

"With Dion Lewis out for the season, the #Patriots recently worked out Pierre Thomas and Robert Turbin at that position."

Pierre Thomas is about 60 years old. I like Turbin to win that battle!

I want Turbin to land somewhere and get some good playing time and a nice paycheck...but I also never want to feel like I need to root for the patriots...

Don't think he is washed up and getting waived from the Browns is a stroke of good luck. He is a good dependable back who is not blessed with great speed. He is a four or five yard back in the NFL which has real value. Just a a matter of getting him to team that values his toughness and work ethic...could see him playing for the Packers or the Bears not as a feature 25 carries a game back but a backup that when he finds his rhythm can frustrate defenses. Packers have a history of no name backs that seem to win games for them. I know he is stud all muscle at 222 but it costs him speed wise. He would do well at 205...210 tops...lightr and more agile and a tenth of a second quicker in the pro game really matters. If given another chance with the right team his career could be better than it ever was with Seattle.

I hate the Patriots, but Turbin would be a great fit in their offense.

Indeed a great fit with their coach and system. If Welker, an overachiever, can be a star there Turbin certainly can.

I'll root for Turbin regardless of the jersey. I'm not a Seahawks fan, I'm a Wagner fan.
