Here's Your Superconference!
Currently up waiting for the AICPA to release the latest CPA scores to see if I passed AUD, so I've got some distracting to do...
Anyway, here's your superconference that could get us an automatic bid to a NY6 bowl:
East: Houston, Oklahoma, TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech.
West: San Diego State, BYU, USU, Boise State, Colorado State, and Fresno State.
Hear me out. There are plenty of Big 12 teams that HATE the University of Texas' dominance over the conference and their inability to get a TV network due to the Longhorn Network. If we could get the best teams in the Big 12 to split off, pick up Houston, and join up with the best teams from the West that aren't in the PAC-12, I think we could get something going.
Thoughts?

If you'd like a funnier scenario, imagine that we leave BYU out for UNLV.

Re: Here's Your Superconference!
As most conferences are going to 14 or 16 teams anyway this conference should do the same.
Add Nevada and UNLV to the west. Add 2 of the 3 of Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State. Preferably KU for their basketball program and KSU for their traditionally solid (for the past 20-25 years) football program.

Have you passed any of the CPA exams yet? Best of luck to you. It was one of the harder things I've done.YoungBloodAggie wrote:Currently up waiting for the AICPA to release the latest CPA scores to see if I passed AUD, so I've got some distracting to do...

Re: Here's Your Superconference!
The only trouble with that super conference is that USU would be bottom dwellers in the major sports (and maybe the minor ones too). I heard on the radio that there is more speculation about byu in the Mountain West Conf. Could this really happen?

Interesting thought about the "Y" but wouldn't that be like marrying the demanding and self serving battle axe who divorced you for a better deal a decade ago?

Love the Ags and will always be a fan but we will never be in a power conference. No problem with fantasizing but IMO there is no scenario where we get in or even considered.

Hate to say it, but New Mexico or UNLV would be selected over USU.YoungBloodAggie wrote:Currently up waiting for the AICPA to release the latest CPA scores to see if I passed AUD, so I've got some distracting to do...

You missed one critical piece of information that keeps us in and them out.Tetonkatest wrote:Hate to say it, but New Mexico or UNLV would be selected over USU.YoungBloodAggie wrote:Currently up waiting for the AICPA to release the latest CPA scores to see if I passed AUD, so I've got some distracting to do...

Re: Here's Your Superconference!
Most likely scenario is Texas, Oklahoma, Okie State and Texas Tech eventually go to the PAC, leaving the AAC and MWC to battle over the scraps.
