At this point Tania, there will be very few USU fans on the road, unless they have a tie to the coaches, players, or live in the area.

I was going to go, but got a new granddaughter, so will not make it. But I'd go in a heartbeat if I could make it. Go Aggies!

I’ll be at the Hawai’i game. I might make the drive from Phoenix to Albuquerque too. I haven’t decided yet.

Plenty of folks who are not fair weather fans. Tell your son we are still behind him and to keep going. Still a decent shot for a bowl game and some nice young talent to build upon.

Yes, anyone pre-2011 is could never be labeled a fair weather fan as it was like vacationing taking a February vacation in Barrow around here for 40+ years.

No fair-weather fan here; been around cheering and booing for over 50 years. What I'll never do again is accept average or losing -- don't care if it pisses off every "cheerleader" that claims to be an Aggie fan. I think Tania is great, but until she's walked in some of our shoes for 10-20 years, she's just a parent cheering for her son. After her son graduates and if she stays around and still goes to Aggie games, buying tickets and giving donations, then she'll be more than just a parent supporting her son. Time will tell - I still like how she approaches the game and provides insights; better than the average parent who feels entitled (Ray are you listening).

I know it's not what you asked, neither is this post going to declare which camp is the best set of Aggie Fans -

BUT

I recommend Sadie's of NM for a meal, unless you can't take spicy food. That was a very close 2nd best meal I had in NM when I was there a few years ago. I preferred the green chile over the red

The barely best was a middle-eastern meal - Pars Cuisine.

Lots of Albuquerquerians rave about the cinnamon roll at Frontier right across from campus, but I though it was just okay. I've also heard that they have a great burrito, but we had already eaten so much that day we just tried the sweet roll.

Back to your original query, I'm not going.

My decision to attend neither NM or Hawaii has nothing to do with me being a sucky fan, and everything to do with not having the money to fly from my distant, Northwestern outpost. (Also duties as a taxi to ballet, birthday parties, baseball hitting camp, etc and as a soccer coach. Pity me!)

I would like very much to take another trip to NM tho. The last time I went was in 1995 with the USU Marching Band, but we mostly had to hang out in Las Cruces. That was a joy, let me tell you. (BearLakeMonster was probably there too.)
