Run Game
'22 I'll again rely on you. Do we have a run game? I loved what I saw all over the field tonight but the run game scares me to death and has for years now. MSU is a great defense, but are they great on run D or do we suck again? That to me is the ceiling to our season.

Re: Run Game
Last I heard they were the # 2 rush D in the nation. That's pretty darn good considering they play in arguably the toughest division in College Football.

Re: Run Game
This is not the game to determine if we have an adequate rushing attack. MSU is a tremendous defense against the rush, and we were playing from behind for most of the second half. Time will tell, but I think if we keep passing like that our running backs will have plenty of room to run.

If I remember correctly, he’s not as good at blocking.

Re: Run Game
Yeah, that wasn’t on the blocking. That was on one of the best linebackers in the country making a ridiculous play.Madmartigan wrote:He did pick him up, guy just made a helluva play.TrueAG wrote:Well, the guy he was suppose to pick up on the last play batted the ball and intercepted it

Re: Run Game
That guy is Joe Bachie the best LB on the team and one of the best in the Big 10. The dude is a Bad A$$, I don't fault Thompson at all. Darwin will be really good for us.Madmartigan wrote: ↑September 1st, 2018, 11:21 amHe did pick him up, guy just made a helluva play.TrueAG wrote:Well, the guy he was suppose to pick up on the last play batted the ball and intercepted it

Re: Run Game
Thompson will be a guy that can get 3 yards every time against the rest of our schedule. Haven't had that since Mays.
