Matt Wells Says Thank You

This is in this weekend’s edition of the Herald Journal. Class move by Matt and certainly a nice touch.

I wish him all the best moving forward. He did a great job and grew a lot!

He grew a lot as a coach. One thing he will always be is an Aggie. He left the program in a really good spot. He was instrumental of some my favorite victories. Boise State, BYU in 2014, Northern Illinois in the bowl game and many others. Thank you Wells.

Well said, he really did leave a great team and upcoming recruiting class for GA to continue on.

I have been at peace with the whole thing. I'm happy for him and I am happy to have Gary back.

The only thing I wouldn't be happy with is speculation and I don't want to dwell on it, so I'm good.

One thing you can’t argue about Matt is the quality of guy. He did a lot of things away from football to help others. Glad he is an Aggie.

No, only about 3 minutes. But I know for a fact what went down at TT. I’ll never believe a word that comes out of his mouth. He’s a football version of a politician, says whatever serves him best at the moment.
