The one hurdle GA has to clear to catch Wells

Post by GameFAQSAggie » December 9th, 2018, 6:29 pm

Wells does have 2 wins over BYU in Provo to none, so we can hope GA can now get over the hump and match that. The other thing we can hope he is finally able to do to top Wells is win the money game. And beat Boise in Boise to top him, after first beating them in Logan to match him.

An interesting paradox if you will. Gary's teams, to my recollection, competed in every "body bag" game and in Provo but never broke through. With wells we were hit and miss being competitive in "body bag" games but landed two in Provo.

The rudy play was a fluke.

I hope GA learned some end of game strategy that will bring home a few big game wins.

Some of those losses were simply the result of a program and players who hadn't learned how to win yet. We aren't that program anymore.

BYU has also sucked for a few years now. Gary had to play against Bronco, who was a much better coach imo.

He beat an 8-5 BYU team that just happened to win their first couple of games. It was an amazing game and I'm happy that I was able to witness it but that wasn't one of Bronco's best teams.

BYU wishes they still had Heaps and Riley Nelson. Those BYU teams Gary played were much superior to the current BYU teams.

But in seriousness, they have no one on their roster right now as good as Van Noy, Ziggy, Taysom, or Even..
