Re: Cooper Legas
He’s much more likely to see the field at USU according to CougarBoard.
Cause if one thing is for sure, it’s that the last two seasons have shown BYU to have much more talent on the field than little old USU.
Or, maybe, JUST MAYBE, it could simply be the current trajectory of our program is much better than BYU’s and Legas wanted to play for a winner?

He'll either be a push forward or a sign and send. What he needs to do is bring Hunter Hill with him.

Re: Cooper Legas
I love it that if an athelete chooses another school over BYU they suddenly weren’t that good of an athlete, couldn’t have hacked it academically, or BYU had better offers. I hope every individual that has transferred, or chosen USU over BYU goes and sees that trash fans post about them on cougar board so their hatred for our sister school to the south is cemented in their heads.

Re: Cooper Legas
Whatever it takes to get him here is fine but I'd rather see a sign and send for quarterback class spacing. Otherwise we will have three freshman and one RS freshman quarterback next year.AGGIEFIGHT wrote: ↑February 4th, 2019, 1:21 pmfrom a pretty good source if he comes to Logan he will probably not mission

Agreed. I think his chances of playing QB for us are better if he missions.GeorgiaAggie wrote: ↑February 4th, 2019, 1:33 pmWhatever it takes to get him here is fine but I'd rather see a sign and send for quarterback class spacing. Welcome aboard young man. He and his family are obviously well educated on what's best for his future. Best decision he could have made.

Re: Cooper Legas
I wonder, and this is where I need aggies22 to interject, what level of assurance we have given him that he will be a QB in our system. I like the guy a lot and I see a lot of potential for him at more than one position, so I worry that if he doesn't win a QB battle he will be gone.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑February 4th, 2019, 1:35 pmAgreed. Re: Cooper Legas
I am okay with having three guys come in, because realistically only one of them will be around in the QB group within three years.GeorgiaAggie wrote: ↑February 4th, 2019, 1:33 pmWhatever it takes to get him here is fine but I'd rather see a sign and send for quarterback class spacing. This is how we take the next step as a program. Depth and competition.
Can’t wait to see how that looks between Cooper and Josh Calvin in the post Love era.

Re: Cooper Legas
Good point. I guess the new guys are always more interesting but Henry needs to be in that convo.

I might be off base here but I truly believe that we have the top 2 QB in the state with Love , Colombi.

Re: Cooper Legas
Hard to compare guys that have never competed against each other directly, but I will say that Henry Colombi's resume is as impressive as any QB we've had coming out of high school. The guy was an absolute baller in Florida and many on this board were terrified that he would be wooed away by higher profile schools. I believe he suffered an injury his senior year which likely kept him off P5 teams' radar. Had he finished high school healthy he likely would have received an upgraded composite score and may have been one of our highest rated recruits ever.MWCFAN12 wrote: ↑February 4th, 2019, 8:41 pm

He has looked very good in the limited game time he's gotten, and I see no reason why he won't be a great starter for the Aggies one day.
I have no personal connection to Henry nor his family. Just a big fan of the kid.

I agree. Love the fire he has. Throws a good ball. Can run. Competitive. A lot there to like.

Re: Cooper Legas
Colombi had p5 interest regardless of injury. If I recall correctly Utah was def going after him and Indiana was as well. Plus I believe several more st some point during his recruiting process. If Colombi is still in Logan, I would bet money he is our number two guy until love leaves and then will he are starter following love. Love could possibly go to the nfl draft after 2019.
