Conference bowl preference?
If I remember correctly, the conference places seven win teams before 6 win teams, so assuming the most likely occurs and we lose to Boise and beat UNM, we should be golden at 7-5, right?
Even if we were to lose out, I hate that 7-5 teams we beat (potentially Nevada and Wyoming) would get preference over us given that we beat them.
Also, does the conference get another bowl since they likely just lost the Hawaii Bowl to BYU?

Re: Conference bowl preference?
The conference has the armed forces bowl this year with BYU going to the HAW bowl. That being said i still think that HAW will mostly like end up in the HAW bowl against BYU.
One thing to note is there is currently 7 bowl eligible teams. SJSU and Fresno play each other and both have 6 losses so only 1 of them has a shot at bowl eligibility. CSU has 6 losses and will more than likely lose to Boise so they will not make it. I am guessing we end up with 8 bowl eligible teams.
More than likely other conferences will not have enough eligible teams to fill bow slots. We should get to 7 wins and would like our chances to get a bowl invite.

We haven't played great at times this year and many have questioned whether or not we would even make it to 6 wins, let alone 7 or more. I'll be happy with whatever bowl gives us a call!

This is how I always feel with Aggie football I am not the oldest man on here that being said I have been around long enough to see the really really bad days so I will never shake my head at whatever Bowl we get invited to.

The most important thing about a bowl game is not winning or losing it is that you get an extra 15 practices so you are basically having 2 Spring balls for your younger players.
If we play in the potato bowl and it's in January we will finish the football season with 15 extra practices wait 5 weeks and start Spring ball.
That kind of stuff goes a long way to getting a young team ready for next year
