Announcer repeatedly mocking official

Post by dogie » December 21st, 2019, 8:08 am

That was the first time I have seen that happen in a broadcast and I thought it lacked some professionalism.

I turned the sound off in the second half and just watched position football and lack of preparation take our AGGIES out of the game.. Certainly what I heard in the first half sounded a bit like carnival barkers hyping the crowd. Our game was a pure DEBACLE and the players generally looked unmotivated.

Worst things in this game
Announcers
Our D
The refs telegraphing to everyone that we don't want to be here. Heck, what was the story of the lack of flags until halfway in the 3rd quarter when both sides were making blatant illegal plays for the whole game.

Par for the course. We've had second rate announcing and second rate officiating all season long.

I thought that USU announcing and the color man were good, kept me in the game with score and field position updates. That meant a lot as I was following the game on the radio.

Just for my personal clarification, but did somebody say something about Kent State being 3 and 6 and down 21 points late in a game? It seems like I heard that somewhere before... :sarcasm:

They were the only team to do it, so you only heard that in one place. Seriously, their "what's at stake" thing that they kept putting up only served as a reminder that bowl games are essentially meaningless money grabs. On that note, expand the playoffs!
