FAREWELL…

Post by taniataylor » December 20th, 2021, 12:57 pm

Hi Guys!!

Welp, here we are! Thank you alllll for helping make this experience a little easier. Ive never been away from the kid and these 5 years have been challenging.
I am most thankful to USU for allowing him to continue his education while he does what he loves most.
I am especially thankful to you guys for all of your positive messages & posts thru it all. This has been a challenging year for the kid but he has thick skin.
You’re a great group of men (& women) and the next recruits are lucky to have such a great group supporting them ( just go ez on em, no more game time chat meltdowns!! 🤣🤣🤣)
Pray for the kid to have a solid Pro-Day, we’ve got some things he’s working on that hopefully come to fruition in April!!

Love you guys!!

You've had to have as thick, or thicker, skin than your son. I'm sure there have been times you have wanted to crawl through the screen and choke people.

Parents provide a unique perspective to these forums and it is very much appreciated when you let us into your lives a little to remind us that the players are not robots - they have challenges in life just like everyone else.

All the best to you and Jordan as you move on with life after USU.

Let's hope farewell does not mean good bye. You are always welcome here to post updates on life events and even vent.

Take care.

Thanks for your many contributions to this board. Your son seems to be everything a college athlete should be and that’s the result of parenting. I’m sure this year did not go exactly as you or your son would have hoped, but not one time did I hear you or your son complain and blame someone else as being unfair. I have heard nothing but straight talk from you. If only other “athlete parents” could take a page out of your book. If I was granted 3 wishes one would be that your son makes an NFL roster. Thanks again for raising such an honorable young man. You should be a very proud mom.

Ouch. “She said it’s not you, it’s her” feels so much worse than “it’s not you, it’s me” cause now I know it’s a pyramid scheme.

Thank you for being part of our Aggie family. Your perspective was very much welcome. Best of luck to you and your son's future.

Your experience spanned three head coaches at USU: Wells, G Andersen and B Anderson. Would you PM me and let me know how you would rate the three on their overall handling of the team and who your son respected the most? If you don't want to, that's good. DON'T be a stranger. Thanks again.

Thank you for your insight over the years! Good luck to both of you.

I still love that post after the Boise game last year when you said you knew by the look in his eyes that he touched the ball on the punt (but the refs didn’t call it). That was priceless.

Hey, if Jordan doesn't make it in the NFL have him try the NBA. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he has already been contacted by NBA scouts who saw the flop on the punt. ;) :joking:

In all seriousness, please check in every now and then.

So there I was... taking my Jeep back to Lynn's Audio for the third time to fix the stereo a couple years ago. Jordan Nathan was there and I had the chance to talk with him for a bit. Such a down to earth guy and I have been so glad to have him represent Utah State over the years!

Thanks for all the insight over the years Tania! Let us know what Jordan is up to, and we'll all be pulling for him!
