We haven't had much luck against Boise State in football, but I like our chances in foobtall.

Let me guess. You are presently investigating whether you have any eligibility left.ViAggie wrote: ↑August 1st, 2023, 3:10 pmbased on the photo I'm guessing it's has something to do with dudes looking up the skirts of cheerleaders???3rdGenAggie wrote: ↑August 1st, 2023, 2:47 pmI'm interested to see what this "foobtall" is all about.

Re: USU Sponsoring New Sport?
I got the new foobtall schedule magnet in the mail yesterday! Wife had it posted on the fridge when I got home. So far she hasn't noticed its a new cheer leader sport at USU. Hoping I can surreptitiously get away to a couple of the games/matches and check it out. Trying to figure out how to intercept the mail when they send out the football schedule so she doesn't wise up.

Re: USU Sponsoring New Sport?
I’ve just been told that at least one school in our region is now using this flyer to recruit against USU.
“You want to go to that school? They can’t even spell football. And they promote you by showing pictures of cheerleaders’ butts.”
I’d say whoever let this piece get mailed should lose their job, but I suspect this is a responsibility we have an intern in charge of.

Re: USU Sponsoring New Sport?
I don't know, any coach using that as a recruiting tool must not have much to offer a recruit if a typo on a flyer is their topic of discussion. It would be a red flag if I was a recruit.rAggie wrote:I’ve just been told that at least one school in our region is now using this flyer to recruit against USU.

Re: USU Sponsoring New Sport?
I'm hearing from my sources that this new sport is to help in the conference re-alignment shuffle. This is what is wanted by the B1G and B12 and it is the first step to get an invite. They are looking for schools that sponsor this sport.

Re: USU Sponsoring New Sport?
What’s foobtall, you ask? Why it’s an imaginative, competitive sport popular amongst engineering students. Teams from different schools go head-to-head, utilizing their engineering skills and knowledge to construct the tallest, most stable Freon tubes (foobs for short). The sport provides a platform to apply and demonstrate theoretical knowledge in a practical, engaging, and challenging context. Creativity, problem-solving, team collaboration, and engineering prowess are all critical components of this game, which takes engineering competitions to a whole new, thrilling height.
I’m feeling pretty good about our home schedule this season. We’ll likely go fully skyward against all opponents except for the Wolf Pack and Rams, whose engineers are pretty decent.
Aggies22, any recruiting intel on Jacob Sorensen and Brandy Albright in the mechanical engineering department? I think their skills will be key throughout the season, and I’m not seeing anything posted yet on them on 247Engineering yet…

Hey! I reserved that trademark five years ago.
Expect my cease and desist.
But remember, as always, I can be bribed with royalties.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
