It’s really not even close. Legas is miles ahead of Hillstead.Sl7vk wrote:How is it that Blake rated Hillstead ahead of Legas?!?!?!?

Re: QB change
Not sure but if it was on that play then it’s even more infuriating. I like the aggressiveness but take 3 points or at least run the ball so if we don’t get it then they take over at the 1 yard line.
Our only hope is in future years Blake will figure some things out. Or hire an actual OC or DC.
Color me skeptical though.

Legas went out with injury, but let's not pretend like this game would look any different with him in.

He injured his shoulder 2 plays before the trick play when a DLineman drove him into the ground.

Did he really envision that as our best 4th and 2 play. Let’s see we have 2 great RBs and 3 really good receivers and a Te.
You either give it or bootleg with a te out. Calling plays ain’t (I can't express myself without swearing) rocket science.

He got hurt the play that he tried to jump pass it.

Re: QB change
Remember when I said the 2pt conversation play in OT was a horrible call? That’s okay gets blown up 95% of the time just like it did tonight.

Re: QB change
This is also true. Levi averages like 4 yards per QB sneak when we did it.

Re: QB change
Or give let running backs run and QBs throw. I know, I know. That would revolutionize football.

Re: QB change
We don't know that. The offense was playing really well before we got injured. Not saying we win but Coop was playing well. The offense turning the ball over 4 times with twice inside your own 25 is a recipe for disaster.3rdGenAggie wrote: ↑November 18th, 2023, 7:45 pmLegas went out with injury, but let's not pretend like this game would look any different with him in.

Re: QB change
The game ended with te genius 4th and 2 call but even if the Aggies had scored and legas hadnt got hurt there was no keeping up with boises domination in the trenches and our dumbass scheme on defense.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑November 18th, 2023, 10:30 pmWe don't know that. And the way boise laid their ears back and ran right around the oline every play, Coop would have probably got hurt sooner than later anyway.
It’s sad as good as our skill and secondary players are but the glamour guys don’t win football games.

Re: QB change
Maybe that is true but we probably would have kept it closer with Coop. Obviously turning the ball over 4 times is a killer, you will never win games with that differential.hickaggie wrote: ↑November 18th, 2023, 10:48 pmThe game ended with te genius 4th and 2 call but even if the Aggies had scored and legas hadnt got hurt there was no keeping up with boises domination in the trenches and our dumbass scheme on defense.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑November 18th, 2023, 10:30 pmWe don't know that. Re: QB change
So I’m starting to fast and pray we get a stud transfer portal QB this next year. Show em royals and Davis highlights and stats. They gotta be so fun to throw to. Just don’t talk about the o-line cause evidently they don’t exist

Re: QB change
Obviously there are bigger issues than the QB, but this is the 3rd game in a row where Legas and Hillstead both played a good amount of time(Uconn, SDSU being the others) and Legas was clearly better. We still lose last night if Legas doesn't go down, but our offense would have better. We don't go scoreless the rest of the game as we did without him.Section_L_Aggie wrote: ↑November 18th, 2023, 7:50 pmFair.
