Stopping donations, done caring.

Post by Bullnamed_gus » November 18th, 2023, 8:02 pm

It’s clear our coaching staff doesn’t care, if Blake and/or Cauthen survive this the Athletic Department doesn’t care. Why tf should I? This is an embarrassing performance. Put coached by a numb nuts interim HC.

This Boise team isn’t good. We are just back to being an embarrassing program at the absolute worst possible time.

I’m not looking forward to the Conference games in Las Cruces and El Paso.

Well it’s actually fine and excusable because the Aggies won the 2021 MW Championship. Looks like you forgot! Welcome to USUfans.com.

C’mon. Did anyone really think this game was gonna be different? This is really on anyone who thought this would be competitive.

Can we at least wait until we lose to UNM this week before we all kill ourselves?

No I did not think we would we but I thought we would at least show up. BA teams just don’t play with an edge, have that blue collar mentality and he can’t prepare his teams for battle.

Don’t worry about us playing terrible at the worst possible time; this isn’t the Aggies of old. The PAC 2 wants us and we have nothing to worry about.

We just need to get rid of the MW bottom feeders (e.g., teams that lose to Boise State 46-10). We only lost 45-10.

We would have lost badly in our conference game in Las Cruces this year.

Don’t get me wrong, losing sucks, and I am no fan of BA. But I expected to lose this game badly. Struggling or not, Boise has better players than us at about every position two deep.

It should be different.

Having said that, stopping support is the wrong way if you want things to improve.

Having said that, If you just don't care anymore about it then why spend hard earned money on it.

Our athletic dept is a friggin trainwreck, so I get it.

There is nothing more Kareny than sending b*tchy a$$ emails to the manager:

Everyone knows the team is struggling. It is what it is. If you truly want anyone to read it and send a thoughtful non-canned email back, then that is taking time away from trying to beat UNM.

That Boise team is trash and they schooled us.

This is the wrong reply and the wrong attitude. This is exactly why we find ourselves on the shoes we're in now. We cannot afford to disregard every supporter of athletics that has a legitimate complaint. If that continues to happen, Utah state deserves to be left out during the next round of conference realignment. You don't succeed by being dismissive of legitimate fans and legitimate money.

You'd be fired in an athletic department with some ambition if you carried this kind of an attitude to fans with a legitimate complaint.

People stopping donations is not going to solve any problems but people have to do what they think is best. I certainly am not happy with the game but will continue to trudge on through as that is what Aggies do.

Hell, Boise could very well be playing in the conference championship game for the second straight year, and they still fired their coach the day after a 28 point win.

I get it that we don’t have the same history or expectations as Boise does. But like, damn, it’d nice if we at least had some sort of standards for ourselves as a program. Or tried to continue to raise the bar after hitting milestones.

You never know when the little donor becomes the big donor with a large windfall of money. Always take care of every fan. They can start a successful business or inherit a large chunk of money. You never know.

I’m definitely no little donor, especially in comparison to our donor list. But I’m definitely not the largest. It’s just hard to care when none of the decision makers care enough to hold anyone accountable. Maybe I’m wrong and Diana starts shaking things up. Just feels like a waste of my money.

But yes, me(a die hard, youngish donor) losing interest is a sign of a lot of others feeling the same way. When there’s 1, there is many more and Blake’s excuse making is getting on everyone’s nerves.

I'd be curious what you would expect to see to feel like any of the decision makers care enough to hold anyone accountable???

the AD has been in the position for only a couple of months - how can you say that she isn't holding anyone accountable? At this point, US has 2 programs that aren't doing well, and 4-5 that are quite stellar. Both those two have sizable contracts and buyouts - and with the financial situation it would seem that executing buyouts would be unreasonable at the timing when she arrived at the program.

This Boise team isn’t good. We are just back to being an embarrassing program at the absolute worst possible time.

I’m not looking forward to the Conference games in Las Cruces and El Paso.
Oh no how will the athletic department survive?

This is the wrong reply and the wrong attitude. This is exactly why we find ourselves on the shoes we're in now. We cannot afford to disregard every supporter of athletics that has a legitimate complaint. If that continues to happen, Utah state deserves to be left out during the next round of conference realignment. You don't succeed by being dismissive of legitimate fans and legitimate money.

You'd be fired in an athletic department with some ambition if you carried this kind of an attitude to fans with a legitimate complaint.
Unless Gus owns an electric company or is a disgraced soccer team owner I can guarantee you the AD doesn’t care about you wanting to speak to the manager.

Nor does any bigger school. Who has even more big doors to appease.
If that's the case the AD can eat shi+ and die. EVERY donor is important in an AD like USU's.
That's life toots.

Guys like the Laubs are going to have more influence. It's like that at every FBS program in the country. Another fact of life is that we all only have a certain amount of time and resources. If the AD is listening to your b*tch fit that means the AD is NOT doing things to support our teams and coordinating larger donor efforts. They certainly can't make decisions off of every b*tchy a$$ fan letter. How should they choose whose letter to follow?

.If you want to take that as you "aren't important" then that is a personal problem.

You never know when the little donor becomes the big donor with a large windfall of money. Always take care of every fan. They can start a successful business or inherit a large chunk of money. You never know.
You can't make everyone happy and if someone can't understand that they aren't going to start a successful business.
