Meh. This may be a hot take but while Devin Dye made some plays and was the best we had, he's a step slow and not a starting Safety of where we want a defense.

I suspect the plan is to move Switzer back to Safety next year alongside Ike & Dye will be relegated to the bench. My guess is he knows this and is seeking other opportunities.

Also understandable, especially if the three main running backs return next year. Have we heard anything from Briggs yet?

Dang it! I thought this kid was gonna be special! If it weren’t for our 3 headed monster he would’ve played a lot this year and next and then started his RS SOPH year…. Hope we get the HS Texas RB that visited a few weekends ago. His stats are insane

Bailey was going to be a good back. Bummer to lose him. I don’t think many anticipated Faison being as good as he was. Had Bailey been patient I think he could have teamed up and been a nice combo with Briggs in 2025. Oh well, glad we have the 3 headed monster back. I like how BA rotated that group and we always had fresh legs.

I’m not shocked Bailey hit the portal. He didn’t want to really be here all along. After re-committing to us he was tweeting his tape at other college coaches. It seemed like we were his ONLY spot, so he came here. Best of luck for him. He’s a talented kid. But I want guys who want to be here.

Taji Atkins is going to be a tough pull. He is clearly holding out for a P4 offer. He COULD end up a big winner once today's dust settles and schools take stock of their needs. He could ALSO be a big loser as schools that had legitimate interest in him move on.
