I would almost count that as TWO petitions! The actual change.org petition, and the thread about it with comments saying they wouldn't sign it on change.org but DID think a change needed to be made.

On the offensive side
I would add that Indiana earlier this year fired Walt Bell, and Bell worked under BA at Arkansas State as OC/QB coach.

his profile on their website says this about last year....

I didn’t think his pitch was incredibly strong either but the strength of a pitch depends on who you’re selling to and what they think.
The guy called himself a 5* player. He clearly has a certain view of himself. .
But point being is when you are trying to sell from a team everyone has a job to address various selling points that could land. It may not have been something you or I care for- but his momma may have liked one part and his ego the other. Everyone is different and should be sold to differently.

I wouldn't mind Cooper Bassett being shown the door also. I think we have more talent on the O line than we showed. All season the O line was a sieve.

As someone who was pushing hard for this to happen, White is who you do feel bad for cause he didn't earn alot of money in his one year and is in more of a position desperately needing to find something else. Cauthen may not be as well as off as coaches who are fired with multi-million dollar buyouts, but he is probably doing pretty well making good money from his years at ASU, Houston and Buffalo. edit: after the initial post, I read White's bio and saw he did play a few years in the NFL, so he probably also has enough money to not be in a desperate position where losing his job hurts him. He may even be in a better financial position than Cauthen, but Cauthen is probably the one in a better position when it comes to finding other jobs.

As strongly as I was pushing for Cauthen to be let go, I could see going either way with Bassett.
