They said that JL posted it to his Instagram on the broadcast but I don't have IG so I have no idea if that is true. I just clipped it from the UNM game video recording.

Jordan Love and I were in the same Criminal Justice class as Freshmen. There were a few other football players in that class whose names I knew at the time but have since forgotten. I always sat on the back row and they sat on the second row from the back right in front of me. The class was basically a Zoom class that met in a classroom on campus.
One day we had some sort of activity that required using a pen. Jordan was not prepared and alas, his teammates had not a pen to spare. Hoot however, did have a pen to spare. So I offered it to him and he accepted it gratefully.
Now here’s the part that sets Jordan Love above the rest. When class was over, not only did he give the pen back, he also thanked me again.
Needless to say, I was completely unsurprised when he killed it as the starter.

Re: Jordan freaking Love!
Bosa just said that he doesn't think Love has been forced to pass under pressure.
Dallas tried to pressure him. How did that work out? I think the Niners DL is better than the Cowboy's, but how much better?
The matchup is really Purdy v Packer defense. Pack held Prescott to 6? points in the first half of their game. Prescott is a horrible QB. Purdy is easily better, but he's not able to carry the Niners the way Love could with the Pack.
Hoping for a great game!

Re: Jordan freaking Love!
I wouldn't say Purdy is necessarily better. He's just playing with one of the most stacked offenses in recent memory from maybe the best O-line in football, the best RB, the best TE, and and multifaceted playmakers at receiver. He is also has a coach who adjusts and using his weapons creatively.El Sapo wrote: ↑January 18th, 2024, 1:01 pmBosa just said that he doesn't think Love has been forced to pass under pressure.

It will be fun to watch. For those who discount the Packers they beat the Chiefs with the 2nd best defense in the league earlier this year by Love orchestrating long drive after long drive for TDs and just limiting possessions by burning time on O and D. The Packers D never stopped them but they did make them kick a couple of field goals and got lucky at the end with the no call on the PI.
The 49ers D is very good but technically ranked behind the Chiefs, Panthers, and Cowboys. I'm sure they will game plan better but Love has pretty much embarrassed everyone of late. The Packers can't afford any stalled drives though and that's a tall order.
Definitely going to fun to watch and I think the Packers have a punchers chance as long as Love continues to take care of the ball.

A missed FG that should have been a chip shot for a pro placekicker keeps GB out of OT ... and mebbe a win.
Great effort by JLove and the cheesy youngsters.

Jordan had a great season. Needs to throw away the ball in that situation. He has a bright future.

Picks at the end people forget risks have to be taken. But regardless it is what it is. The niners were the 1 seed. Jordan is in his 1st year starting.

Not kicking the FG in the first quarter was stupid. Always take the points early in a game. Always.

Agreed, don't chase points that early. Take the chip shot field goal in those situations, especially on the road.

One Packers fan pointed out how amazing it is that he got his ability to beat the Bears and Cowboys AND his inability to beat the 49ers ALL from Rodgers.

They gave him a terrible spot on that play. Every camera angle I saw it looked like his chest was across the line. I’m surprised they didn’t challenge the spot of the ball there.

We as a board should figure out a packers home game for next season and all go and invade it with Aggie blue and fighting white in support of Jordan. Maybe get Aggie Twitter in on it too.

Change of possession is automatically reviewed. In piles can’t tell where ball is. On reply it didn’t look definitive at all.EngineeringAggie wrote: ↑January 21st, 2024, 1:36 amThey gave him a terrible spot on that play. It would help if someone knew someone that has the ability to get us access to the tickets at face value as opposed to the jacked up price for the tickets you see in comparison to the face value. Season ticket holders are notorious for jacking up the prices enough for the tickets to the four home games they do not make it to that they make enough money for their plane tickets and hotel rooms for the four home games they do attend.FromLItoLogan wrote: ↑January 21st, 2024, 9:05 amWe as a board should figure out a packers home game for next season and all go and invade it with Aggie blue and fighting white in support of Jordan. Tough loss, but Love is going have a great NFL career. He could win a Super Bowl if GB surrounds him with the right pieces.
Not unrealistic to say in a few years that the best 3 pt shooter in the NBA(you could argue it now) and a top 5 QB in the NFL are both from USU.

Re: Jordan freaking Love!
Heard the Vegas odds for the 2025 Superbowl came out and Green Bay has the 7th highest odds. Not bad for JLove, especially given that nearly no other team would trade skill position players (WR, RB, TE) with Green Bay. Rodgers had better skill position guys and he always complained about it but JLove just went to work. Next year they should get their best receiver (C. Watson) back and will hopefully get an impact TE and starting OL to help him out. Given an upgrade at offensive line and we'll see even better things from Love next year.

The packers are stacked at TE. Kraft and Musgrave are really good. They aren’t adding anything there.Coloraggie wrote:Heard the Vegas odds for the 2025 Superbowl came out and Green Bay has the 7th highest odds. OL maybe but probably not. Bahktiari will probably be back and combine with Jenkins, Tom and Walker, it’s not a huge need. The GM always likes to draft one for depth in the 3rd round but that’s probably it.
In order for Love to reach the Super Bowl, the packers need help in the secondary. They need a safety REALLY bad and probably another corner because Stokes can’t stay healthy.
So combined with a competent DC and with safety and corner help, they should be really good.

Re: Jordan freaking Love!
The ongoing search for a new DC might make or break the super bowl window with this young Packers team. I have a feeling Jlove and his offense is going to put up plenty of points the next couple seasons, all with low cost WR and TE rooms. Time will tell.2004AG wrote: ↑January 26th, 2024, 10:38 amThe packers are stacked at TE. Kraft and Musgrave are really good.
