2024 expected rule changes

Post by Aggie702 » March 1st, 2024, 4:38 pm

Looks like college football is going to get: 1) a two minute warning (yay for two more guaranteed commercial breaks per game); 2) player to coach communication systems; and 3) use of tablets on the sidelines and in the locker rooms at halftime

Wait, weren’t last season’s rule changes implemented because games were taking too long? So now we will get a two minute warning at the end of each half to…….increase the time of the game?

Speaking of tablets on the sideline, SDSU had a video replay system on the bench of the basketball game that was pretty cool. They had an iPad with a live video feed and one of the coaches would occasionally create a clip of a play and tag it with a players name. Multiple times throughout the game when a player was pulled the coach would open that players folder and show him plays and things that he did wrong. I've never seen another college team have that on the sideline but it seems pretty advantageous to have something like that on the sideline to fix problems in game.
