Thanks for the write-up. Are any of the players not practicing in spring camp that won't be ready for fall camp due to current injuries?

The only possibilities that I see would be Micah Davis and Seni Tuiaki. I'll find out for sure.

22 was going to add that 5th spot of the depth chart at quarterback, but it was too much of a payne.

Micah missed the bowl game. If he’s not good to go in the fall, that is a HUGE loss

How about Max Alford's recovery and rehab? If he's back to 100% healthy, where would he slot in?

Nobody here knows anything.

If Max were 100% healthy I would place him second on the MIKE LB depth chart behind Shaun Dolac BUT if he can get his speed and mobility back to 100% pre-injury, I think he could compete for Switzer's vacated WILL LB spot next season.

Keep in mind that last season's starter Avante Dickerson is still sidelined.

I am a little bit surprised at how high Petras is on the QB depth chart and how low Barnes is on the QB depth chart.

Ike really tailed off performance wise in the last few games. Seems like there were some reports about an injury but the guy still got out there and played. Was it worse than reported? And, if it was worse than reported, is he recovered?

Barnes doesn't surprise me. I was surprised we signed him honestly. He never was able to do more than one read at Utah. Blake might be able to help him, but it will take time.

I think teams began scheming away from Ike and that might be why he appeared ineffective near the end of the season. I've seen no signs of an injury, Ike has been a full participant this spring.

The last few games Ike was having to stop the run a whole lot because our run defense was so bad, and we were so beat up. Ike is a good tackler, but he is more of a ball hawk than a big hitter.

When things get desperate and they did last season, players sometime break from their assignments to "help" on plays. Players who are pressing might try to make a "big" play, get themselves out of position and miss instead of just making the play. The opponent see's this tendency and call plays that take advantage. Probably another factor in Ike's performance (or lack of).

Think of all the interceptions and failed 4th down conversions last season where our defense was asked to bail out the offense. Situations where the defense was forced to make big plays.
